Friend of mine has started a towing company called "Rip Tide Towing" located in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. The company will be doing local tows but may expand as time goes on. I had my logo designed by an artist on the site and have been very happy with it. Hopefully we will achieve the same results this time around.

He is looking for a logo with the following criteria:

- Local beach feel
- Towing to be shown in the logo
- Eye catching, stand out (something that would get your attention driving by)

Information to be included in the logo. Ideally, would like the logo to be able to stand on its own with the info below removable as needed.
- Rip Tide Towing
- 24/7 Police/Emergency Towing
- 732-965-8698 (TOWU)
- Local Towing, Roadside Assistance, Jumps, Lock Outs

* We will retain all rights to the winning logo after the contest ends.

The company does not have a website at this time (local, phone-based operation) so I wouldn't have something to base this on. If you are referring to the Blackbird Lighting logo, something like that may work. The intent is to show towing in action as part of the logo if that is helpful. Folks are welcome to get creative so its something that catches the eye. I understand that is vague but I'm hopeful the creative folks here can visualize this better.

Attached is an image of the tow truck (flatbed). He will likely buy another one so I wouldn't get too hooked on the exact model truck. A wrecker may look "cooler" - other attached image.

Sorry, It's really late here and I'm still working on the truck. I am trying something with a few more details than I usually do and it's coming out nice, but I'd rather not post anything until I feel comfortable with the end product. Will likely have something tomorrow. Hopefully you'll get have more submissions from other designers before then.

I forgot to mention that this logo is 99% vector. Also, because the it is flat on the bottom, the info to be included with this logo (whenever needed) would fit perfectly underneath the title. I will post a version with the info included soon enough. And again, feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

After speaking with my friend, this is the current favorite. Can the font and wave be made "less soft"? Perhaps adding a white cap to the wave would make it more aggressive. Also, making the hook stand out would be good. If there is a way to incorporate the boardwalk in here somewhere, that would be ideal.

Looks like a lot of work went into this which is very much appreciated. I know initial feedback indicated he wanted quite a bit going on but overall this needs to be made more simple. Perhaps some of the features of this logo can be made to fit the prior one posted. Tow truck at a 3/4 front angle, hook swinging down under hooked onto a car?

This is why I am not an artist....As you folks can imagine, you only know what you like until you see and the image in your head sometimes doesn't pan out on paper.

Really like the changes. Can you get a simple boardwalk under the tow hook or make towing look like it was made out of driftwood?
