To those familiar with GoDaddy Auctions

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum... couldn't really figure out a better place to put it.

A while back I received an offer, through GoDaddy, on a domain name I own. I responded with a counteroffer that I thought was unreasonably high... well, it looks like they accepted it! :P

Yesterday, to my great surprise, I received a standard domain transfer email about that domain name. I went to my GoDaddy account (which I no longer use due to some horrific customer service issues) and noticed that the domain had indeed sold for my requested amount. That happened six days ago.

The current status is "Pending Buyer Purchase."

GoDaddy's people have been useless in this regard, a message on their forum and a phone call didn't make things any clearer.

Anyone that has experience with their process care to shed a little light on the situation? The domain sold for a very good sum and I want to make this as smooth as possible.

The problem is because the buyer didn't pay up. Nothing much godaddy can do about it.

I have sold a name through GoDaddy a couple of months ago. The status you are seeing is normal. I believe mine was in that status for at least 7 days. The info I got from GoDaddy about that was it will stay in that status until the money reaches GoDaddy's financial institution. It can take 3-5 business days alone to transfer money to a bank. So if your buyer waits 3 days or so before making the payment, you can be looking up to 8 business days or so before that status changes. Unfortunately, the whole process from the beginning to the end takes about 30 days before you receive your money.

At least this was my experience & what I was told.

Just keep your fingers cross that the buyer will go through or already has gone through with the payment.
