Hi all,
I have some domain names that I want to develop.

Some are information oriented, about small towns, one is about Photo and Video Wedding services, and one about information regarding Golf courses in a particular Region of Portugal.

Do you think I should create mini-sites (5-15 pages) or should I use a Blogging program like WordPress v2.1 to do the same thing? Or should I use both depending on the category?

What are the pros and cons in using one or the other?

Your opinions would be highly apreciated.

Regards
GIL

if you use WordPress, then its much easier because all the control is already there.

add all the plugins, and your done. but your site will look like a blog, which might be a little unprofessional.

However if you build a site from scratch using dreamweaver or frontpage, you have total control over what you want, and where you want the pics and text to be.

Its a little time consuming, but surely worth the effort.

So depends, if you are hardworking enough, then don't have to use wordpress :)

Pros of blogging:

SEO benefits of blogging
Easier to get started

Cons

You will need to post frequently if you want it to succeed. Blogs are designed for frequent posting so this is a must. So if you don't know much about a topic or can't afford to pay others to regularly blog for you you can't make a blog.

Apart from blogging you can also use joomla, drupal or other CMS to create websites.

You can hire writers to write for your blog since writing is time consuming. I have my own personal blog, of course i am the author, but i have another blog that's focusing on zune player reviews, but i hire a writer for it.
