You should remove all of your ads from your sites by midnight ...


I expect each and Everyone of you to remove all domains you own that are parked from Domain Parking by midnight EST tonight. Also - All of you with Developed sites , You'll have to remove All CPA/CPM/PPC ads by midnight as well.

After all , you can't have SPONSORS to pay your overhead and expenses. Oh and if any of you have any Paid/Subscription sites ... They should now be 100% Free no matter How much it Costs you to run them.

Seriously folks - How many of you Call the major TV Networks and act this way when they show a SPONSOR during your Favorite shows ?

You come here and use this site for Free as much as you wish. No fees to buy or sell .... And some of you have the nerve to make threats that you will Leave over something so petty ? Several of you should be Be ashamed of yourselves.

I do not have any problems with advertising on a website, including NP.

Before I was a registered member at NP, I had no problem looking at the Google ads. After I joined, I was fine with the banner ads at the top of bottom of NP.

I think must of us understand that NP is an advertising supported forum and because we do not pay to be member - RJ - has to cover expenses through advertising. Understood and respected.

BUT that is different than advertising. The new advertising makes the forum difficult to read and is simply annoying. Heck, some people thought the site had been hacked when it first showed-up this afternoon.

There are ways to accomplish Rick's goals (and RJ's) without disrupting the ability to use the site.

Besides the fact that I like the red,
I could deal with it if it were lime green,
and crap brown.
It's the member's that count.
I would hate to lose the amount of members who would drop,
if it were a pay based forum!
each and everyone has a great contribution to this forum.
And do we really need one more bill in our lives!?!

And I don't understand how it affects the usability of the site? There are hundreds of users who can use the site just fine - so not sure why that's being argued.

Con: The areas we read might look much better with white text and a very dark background.
Less eye strain would be nice.

It's really not that big a deal.. LOL Sure the colors arent' appealing to some but it's not gonna last for ever. And your right, this forum is free and needs to stay that way. I support any and all measures that help to keep something free.

Maybe if the colors are too bright you can tune down you monitors contrast and brightness? I've seen it from 3 seperate monitors now and it's not that bright, IMO. Not the normal, very nice NamePros red and blue but not horrible either.
