Time to invest .xyz

After google decision is it worth investing in xyz extension? Will it's value increase?

Whole of my argument is, people keep saying that end users will go for new Gtlds because .com are overpriced, even then most end users will look for cheapest option, if they do, in which case most of people who invested in all the new extensions will hardly make any money, considering that most of them cost quite a bit to renew, right.. Do the survey maybe for price expectancy and how many of those who goes for Gtlds are hoping to land THE big sale not count the pence!!! Would be nice read then..

Don't get me wrong some of new Gtlds make sense and will sell for decant money, but what about the rest and that's at least 99% or more.. Are you going to take responsibility for misleading some of them with your posts? Will you pay them back the money when they go bust?

Even looking at the picture of new Gtld, .xyz is only one out of hundred or so.. Why will it be .xyz that'll make it big time not others?

Everything else aside .com makes sense, even for me and English is my second language! It's short for COMMERCIAL!! Care to explain to me if I was potential buyer, what does .XYZ stand for (all the ex famous Google hype away)

Why didn't .co made it when some believed that one made sense and was shorter than .com too!!!

What makes you think .xyz value will go up, instead of fading away and maybe next Gtld coming out..

Maybe .co was so similar to .com to the extent it made users add the M after the .co?

Google said new extentions are all the same so if you wanted this domain.. .WebDesign.com..and you couldnt get that and next best thing available and short was webdesign.xyz (yes it is taken lol) , wouldnt you take it ? Or you would prefer to make up another name?

You are the tenth person to come to me and say COM makes sense to me but the truth is, it only makes sense because you were born in an Internet world where COM sells for millions and controls the World Wide Web but you've get to step over the glass wall my friend ! You can't break through, you have to figure out how to jump over it... And your other point ! I am an investor; not a follower or believer or some kind of gypsy who can predict the future. I take full responsibility with my own gun in my hand and I'll take a shot anyway if the investment is clear and concise. I am lucky enough to have the necessary funds to throw down on an investment such as this but I don't think and I don't assume. I have no arrogance with anyone who chooses the COM side; I only am here to clarify the so called professionals who downfall XYZ and other GTLDs because just like Verisign; there afraid they will lose money ! That's all it's about; greed ...

I understand your point but xyz seems to have an edge over other gtlds in the sense that it is short and welknown letters. When the .com is unreachable, surely .xyz will be reachable. Lets demonestrate it like this.

I know what I will choose. It is even easier to promote websites and services.

The demand is for the keywords and the length of the extension. I think .xyz overtook the .io extension which had success and still has.

Like I said, I have only 5 .xyz but they seem to.be gone already and even the Chinese are using them even with numerics.

One thing about ngtlds that gives me hope, especially .TOP .XYZ. and WANG are that the Chinese are betting on it, you can tell with the regs on these daily reglists, what they are registering, and it's not just numbered domains anymore or "spammers".

Like I said before, this is gonna be years in the making , maybe 5 years? I know it feels good to dream, but A LOT has to happen for those dreams to come true first. Hopefully it doesn't take as many years as you thought it would, it's not going to happen overnight that's for damn sure. I think right now the market is moving as fast as possible with new gtlds.

How about :
Length....short or same length as .com
Wellknown letters....most language have xyz when you compare it to .whatver, .space, .club , etc.

It easilly passes the extention ..radio test..

Those are just the main points.

you make a valid point .Com .net .org are all mostly used up, why wouldnt you wanna grab Tropic.xyz and hold on to it for 4 years omg whats that $42 Bucks for a potentially amazing return, you'd kinda be crazy not to own any. Also Xyz Had a very strong campaign to get the name out there and by far is very popular .club is way far behind

What business is going to wanna own insurance .club it just deosnt sound professional, what appeals to me is xyz is kicking Ass , Strong Growth and already 8.xyz sold for $81 thousand dollars, its a monopoly of virtual real estate

How could you not invest $100 towards a premium xyz youll gain a larger margin then if you were to invest it into a bank account at a 10% return for 10 years

Well you could start off by explaining
XYZ is a cheaper alternative in half the rate to COM for usage of Google Adsense ... Or you could start off by explaining SEO capabilities over GTLDs are more favored by Google and that includes XYZ ... Or you could start of by explaining .COM is old and outdated and that it only took 20 years to realize it... The best part of XYZ is it means nothing absolutely nothing !!! Lol. It can labeled to anything and everything !

That is what I said....some domainers are regging them while saying they dont worth. I was thinking of creating a coupons site and was not happy with what was available then said let me try my luck and searched....FindCoupons.xyz and FindCoupon.xyz ...
.I was shocked and regged both.

Already, less than a month , someone offered me $300 for both...it has been mare days when I regged...not evwn a month...What can you say about thay ?

Now you're getting somewhere. The premiums are taken because people like myself and people who support XYZ like Abdullah and Jedaprin; were intelligent enough to grab the one word premiums which sold for millions in .COM extensions ... Now it just takes time ... 5 years ... 7 years ... Or maybe 3 years ... you never know

Luckily I am not know for predicting the future, only getting odd thing right :D

It's true now, it's harder to get premium names but if you keep searching you will find gems. I have personally given up myself, got 20 of them now, sticking to them, all keyword, LLL, LLLL words with more than half of them having some sort of record on namebio.

Just realized that virtually EVERYTHING keywordxyz.com is available. This should be a big red flag to people who are planning to "invest" in xyz and hold long. I tried many many different keywords and found virtually everything I tried <keyword>xyz.com is available. So why would buying <keyword>.xyz make sense? Sure there is some value in it being a single word left of the dot. But in the long run the real value of ngtlds is gonna be keyword1.keyword2, e.g: america.online - good.work - net.work - etc.
