Time for sandbox quarantine ?

Just saw one long web page, and a mini site, both mine, being #1. One of them was therefore, even before the corresponding article in Wikipedia. That one has only one true outer link pointing to it and the other one no links at all to it.
My own code, own text, own seo. It did work. The first one, one-word-domain, #1 among close to 900.000 results, after ca 9 months. The other one, a 2 word-domain #1 among ca 43000 results, after 2 months.

However, I have some other sites, I just now saw one was #7, but some others have very low ranking. One of them is a medium sized site, made in the same way as one of those above, but even though there are so many pages, there are close to no visitors. I have not sofar, found the reason. Could it be in a "sandbox"? First all content was on one long page, as one of the #1-domains above, then later I found out how to use SSI, with a central menu, so there are now separate pages. All pages are indexed. I have added a little here and there during this time. It took nearly a month to do first, a lot of work with code, text and images, then later improvements. These pages are about things I have been interested in, written with that in mind, so it's great content, according to myself. I got somewhat disappointed because I counted on some adsense results.

Is it known that Google, but for unknown reasons, puts web sites in the "sandbox"? Is there a maximum time for a sandbox ? Is it known that well made web sites with great content have became continously unsuccessful, for no apparent reason?

I saw in many places that Google sand box no more exists but I am not sure if that is true or not.

If you think that your site is sand boxed, then you can try to get it out via getting some quality backlinks. Try to get backlinks from some quality sites; hopefully it will help.

Thanks for getting back to my post!
I have thought about putting it on another domain. It simply doesn't make sense.
30 pages with a lot of descriptive info, best possible keyword structure, images and internal links in a logical way. And same seo as my other mini-mini-sites that have more visitors. And also, some articles about things that close to noone look for, so it has a natural approach, also because I want it that way.

If I take it down, I have to wait until google removes from indes before I put it on another domain. But how do I know how the new domain will be indexed.
Did I put adsense on it too fast. I think I waited 2 weeks after indexing.
But so have I done with other sites. Maybe it's better to slow it down. I have some pages and minisites without adsense, some of them are 1 - 1½ year old.

I should try to sell more of my domain names instead, afterall, a lot of them are = product names, also for expensive equipment.

do all these sites have the same competition? if not then it doesn't make that much sense to expect the same results...

good luck with selling your "competent" domains.

Not precisely the same competition but not that very different.
I changed one thing on the site's index today, that maybe, have had an effect, because i used " | " between the keywords in the title.

Anyway, Well funny, for your comment shockie, about sellling my domains.
Maybe a little sign, because today, I've thinking about it more than ever before. I have just sold a few sofar.

Among my domains I have, most have I not showed anywhere.
Many of the first ones, once upon a time, were just garbage, but a few of them were good ones so I kept them. Not until later I got the better domains. I looked at them today, nearly all of them product-named tech-domains, I thought what have I been waiting for. Silly.

I like writing, I like doing articles, fixing images and graphics. I like doing codes. But I've thought during the day, that I should let it wait for a while.
I have to investigate a couple of end user markets, maybe look for mid-sized companies. And look for companies that make the products which names are the same as the domain names, yes .com of course. Some .net, .org and .info. I guess I've been too occupied with other things around earlier.
So lets give it a try.

My site is only 3 months old and I get traffic from Google all the time. Out of the three big guys, in fact, Google sends me the most. I just don't have a page rank. Maybe it's Google's way of fight back against the spam and black hat techniques of getting a page rank. I do agree that it is frustrating but the only thing you can really do is focus on building a great site.
