Time for sandbox quarantine ?
Just saw one long web page, and a mini site, both mine, being #1. One of them was therefore, even before the corresponding article in Wikipedia. That one has only one true outer link pointing to it and the other one no links at all to it.
My own code, own text, own seo. It did work. The first one, one-word-domain, #1 among close to 900.000 results, after ca 9 months. The other one, a 2 word-domain #1 among ca 43000 results, after 2 months.
However, I have some other sites, I just now saw one was #7, but some others have very low ranking. One of them is a medium sized site, made in the same way as one of those above, but even though there are so many pages, there are close to no visitors. I have not sofar, found the reason. Could it be in a "sandbox"? First all content was on one long page, as one of the #1-domains above, then later I found out how to use SSI, with a central menu, so there are now separate pages. All pages are indexed. I have added a little here and there during this time. It took nearly a month to do first, a lot of work with code, text and images, then later improvements. These pages are about things I have been interested in, written with that in mind, so it's great content, according to myself. I got somewhat disappointed because I counted on some adsense results.
Is it known that Google, but for unknown reasons, puts web sites in the "sandbox"? Is there a maximum time for a sandbox ? Is it known that well made web sites with great content have became continously unsuccessful, for no apparent reason?
