The first is TextingBuddy SMS Text Messaging (http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2374852132). It was the first application to allow users all over the world to send free SMS messages through Facebook. It embeds a profile box on users' profiles that enables friends to send a text message to the profile owner *without revealing the phone number of the profile owner*. It also allows visitors to send a message to any cell phone. The app has ~1,500 registered installs through Facebook. It captures users' cell numbers, networks, and e-mail addresses in a MySQL database and has 2,036 phone numbers and 1170 distinct e-mail addresses. So, people are actively using the application. SMS messages are free to send and over 140 carriers are supported around the world. Bids should start at $3,000 (I received an offer that was later retracted for this amount) and BIN is $5,000.
The second is Mailing Lists (http://cornell.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2384168888). This application never took off and has fewer than 100 users. It lets users set up mailing lists through their profiles and send out updates to their friends. I will take the first offer of $500 for it, just to pay for the development time.
The third is Friend Tracker (http://cornell.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2870420358). This was a spin off of our MySpace tracker service and has over 1,000 users. There is NO promotional method built into the application--these are all directory installs or installs off of profile clicks. It is a fairly simple application that displays a list of the last 10 visitors who click on the button that appears in the profile of its users. Bids should start at $1,000 for this one. BIN is $2,000.
