WHy is .TV picking up???
Whilst the whole concept behind regging .TV is for its brand appeal - not an island nation that few have heard of - this brand is in a different league to .MOBI - another brand name for three hugely important reasons..
1. Does MOBI as a stand alone word make any sense??
2. Even if it were .MOBILE - does for example EDUCATION.MOBILE make much sense ?? what about ELECTION.MOBILE or SPORTS.MOBILE???
Lets see how they come across with the .tv....EDUCATION.TV, ELECTION.TV, SPORTS.TV......can't get more simple or more powerful than that....
3. The incoming tidal wave of streaming technology over the internet is gathering pace - YOUTUBE was not bought for 1.5+ billion for its current worth...but for its future worth and to protect Google's status as the cutting edge technology stock of the 21st century....
The fact that YOU TUBE ends in.COM is an irrelevence - for .TV now is NOT a commodity brand, but will become so in the next few years like the sale of YOUTUBE demonstrates.....
THE TV ext will become the norm for any business looking to beat or match the competition.......
