For those with geo names & not planning to develop, have you guys tried to contact potential end users like TV stations and other media companies (Newspaper)?

If so, what was the result?
If not, why not?

So far, I have only contacted a small media company through email just for a (small-medium) US city geo name, but no reply.

I did sell one small US GEO .TV to an end user

I emailed one prospective owner, who runs a small online media company.

Their business partner wasn't interested, but the one owner bought the domain for himself.

For me, I used the following tactics:

1) Put a reasonable price out there. In this case, I stated I wanted $300 for the domain.

2) Target media companies with an online (vs print) focus.

3) Find out who owns a neighboring town/city .TV domain and add them to your target list.

Great advice!

Thanks George :)

I have a few GEO names but haven't contacted any endusers. Guess I've been a bit lazy & also not really planning on selling any of them now either, will probably hold onto for a good few years.
