This may sound stupid, but what is an enduser? I keep hearing the term all over the forum, but i have no idea what it really means. So what is an end user?

A non-domainer. If you had bank.com and sold it to a bank then you sold it to an end user.

End user = someone whose buying the domain to use for themselves and develop. AKA someone not purchasing a domain to resell for profit.

Oh ok, now i get it. Then is there a sepcific term for someone that has domains already? Or would they jsut be called a developer?

I wouldn't say a non-domainer. I have a few domains I'll never sell. I am those domains end user.

an end user in terms of domains is a person or company that plans to use a domain name to build a 'real' site with. as opposed to a reseller, who just buys a domain to resell it for a higher price. end users can sometimes be better buyers because they are more likely to pay a higher price, since they are building a long term business on the domain. hope that helps.

Someone who has domains to sell = domainer or reseller.

Someone who has domains to develop = end user.

An end user can be a huge corporation who knows nothing about web sites. They'd hire a developer to make the site, they are not the developer.

Oh so end-users are generally better as they've obviously been looking for that specific domain, or something similar to it, as it has a lot do with their company. So for instance, google.com is owned by an end-user because they have developed it and dont plan on selling it. Am i right, or am i still confused about the term?

in terms of end user, usually the domain name fits their business or product, whatever it may be. so it is seen as the domain they 'must' have for their business.
