This is a response I got when I offered one of my names to someone I thought

When I googled it--- it came up Stuart Appleby Junior Golf so I thought they might be interested in getting the name---this is the response I got:

Thank you for the notice.

As you may know, SAJG is a nonprofit entity that serves the youth of
Australia in broadening their golfing horizons.

We would not be interested in purchasing the site for any amount over base
cost.

If you use this site in any way to promote or profit from Stuart Appleby,
his image or likeness,
we would refer this to our lawyers.

Not very nice-----I let him know it was not a website but a Domain name and that it could stand for many things---and then I ask him if he knew what a Domain Name was

At least you tried. They can't sue you for asking. If it's blatant "bad faith" ,(far from it in this case) , they'll more than likely ask you to hand it over before they bring out the big guns.

We all have to be willing to get those types of responses if we decide to actively market our names. It's like acting auditions, you do enough of them, you'll eventually get a part.

Most "normal" people won't even know there's a difference between the two and you were selling it as a possible website for them, even though it it's currently undeveloped.

Anyways.... it is a nonprofit entity. You can't expect much from them. At least you got a response

A cautious response from him but he's clearly not interested in it. Nothing to worry about since you initiated the contact, I get messages like that too.
