Theatrical-like web site

I'm currently working on a theater based web design for my portfolio site. I'm still very new to this fourm. Any critiques will be very useful.

i think I should let you into a web design secret:

DO NOT USE GRAY.... EVER**! Subsitute it for white, or the next best thing. Also it is very bland - the rest is almost 3d, the curtains have shadows and stuff, even the header is gradiented. The background needs to be white really, and the other gray bits need to be textured in some way. Plain gray is bad. :lol: Good Luck

Yeah, they gray is kind of bland. the idea and design are pretty cool though.

I'm breaking your gray rule with the menu atm, unless someone comes up with a color scheme for that. :hehe: The menu will currently be set to have a gray to red and black text to white rollover effect, atm. So, help in that area would be useful. Critiques are openly welcome.

I updated the image in the previous post once more since I didn't think the flat gray menu had enough depth to help emphasize the changes. I hope you like it. Waiting for crits from the many users of this forum.

grey can be used and can look very sexy, ive seen lots of sites that ake awesome use of grey, my old site used to use alot of gray and i think it looked nice

Well the design look blend, too plain.

Try working on the navigation bar and the text. needs work

Personaly, I don't mid the gray.
