The world is coming to an end...it was 119 degrees fahrenheit today

I live in Woodland Hills, CA in Los Angeles county. It was 119 degrees today (with humidity) which is the hottest temperature ever recorded in Los Angeles since weather has been recorded.

I lived in Las Vegas, NV three years ago. In July, 03 it was the hottest month on record IN LAS VEGAS!

Question: Is it hot in here or is it just me?

With winters here in Ohio at about 20/30+ degrees at many points, what do you expect? lol

Maybe only a thin ozone layer is covering the city you live OR the city you live is always hot.

Nah, it's everywhere. We have Mr. Global Warming to thank for that.

Wow, that's hot.

In the UK the temperature has been around 90 degrees for most of the week, topping out at about 98 degrees on Friday.
No air con either and seeing that my bedroom gets the afternoon sun, it's been that hot inside too. I hate it.

We had a huge storm yesterday too, it rained so loud it woke me up. I've never been woken up after only 1 hour of sleep before. The weather's definitely gone crazy. :td:

It's about 100-105 here on average, but since I live in Texas, that's considered normal.

I have heard from UK friends that it's been up and down 30 C all week. Sounds interesting.

Around Toronto, the weather has been great. It has varied from low 60's to high 80's out here, with showers predicted for tomorrow (which I honestly don't mind). So everything is going superb out here! :]

No air con either [...]

I've been in the UK during the summer...I sweat like a stuck pig...it was embarrassing...we saw Miss Saigon in that real old theater...I nearly died...

You're right, pal, at least I have AC...funny that I had it set to 80 (to help avoid blackouts) and it felt darn right chilly!

That's a whole 'nother discussion...why some people just don't think the hundreds of environmental changes do not indicate global warming and why again they think that we (the big we) are not the cause?

Must have drank 3 litres of water at work today (3 hrs)

It's not much fun.

But you have to admit it was quite hot last week. And all the natural "disasters" around the world. Another tsunami in Indonesia on Monday killed 600+ people. Another 6.2 earthquake in the same region today. Crazy rain in China, Japan, and Korea over the past week. An earthquake in China this morning.

People in the UK are actually walking around with only one layer of clothes on. It really must be hot!

I've built a makeshift hammock in my bedroom and got two fans pointing at me from different directions, i'm not sleeping all that badly. :P
