Hello house,
i am a bit confused, and this has to do with the fact i have found some very interesting names i wil like to register.
the problem is that .com,.net,.biz,.info for the names i have are all registered, leaving extensions like .cm,.cc,.org.uk,.ws,.de and most of the less liked extensions available.
i have at least 3 domains that are only 3 letter words and about 2 that are two-word names, and 1 investment related name.
If for example i register a .com for one of the 3letter words that i have, it will not sell for less than $400,000. am just confused as to if people forgot to register those names or if they thought they are worthless.
I will let one go just so that you guys can see what i mean. check trained.cm and trained.tv

Your honest opinions are most welcomed, thanks

With a few exceptions, mostly caused by branding or cctlds, anything, not in the .com extension, are worth spit, compared to the .com. Why do you think those domains are not already taken?

You are probably right. So i should not get overly carried away.

Indeed, with two exceptions: .de and .co.uk aren't "less liked extentions" or is only .org.uk available? Actually, .de and .cn are the only two country code extentions that can somewhat catch up with .com, .net etc in terms of number of existing domains. These ccTLDs are very valuable and should not be mentioned in the same sentence as .cc, .cm, .ws and such ...

Generally though, Stub is right: if it would be a really good keyword, it would not be available in any extention that is actually worth some โ‚ฌ/$

I would be very careful registering the .cn extension, since the new rules where introduced it seems to be difficult for foreigners to hold a .cn domain.

The Chinese Government also seems to be highly unpredictable, what is ok today, may not be so tomorrow. Besides that "small" problem, I agree that the .cn domain has a large potential for those who know the Chinese market.
