IMO people now realize this isn't just a problem of one party or the other, nor is it about Donald Trump or Joe Biden.

People are pretty far from realizing that, IMO.

I agree change needs to come from the people, not the pols. That's one reason I think it's pointless to vote for Rickety Joe because he'll sign this or that accord. It's all games, and the winners are the so-called public servants and their cronies.

More than ever, people have a childlike faith that government is the solution to their problems, and are far from realizing government is the problem. As long as they continue to swallow the easy lies, people will never take the initiative themselves.

Now, with the usual adult liars back in the White House, the public will go to sleep again. Until awakened by the next unthinkable and inevitable disaster. Either war or economic collapse is my guess, but who knows?

I agree, the US is rather infantile. It is a relatively new republic as far as nations go. Blessed with natural resources, built on slavery and stolen from the people - albeit the land of the free (if you believe that, lol). The fact that there hasn't been a war on US soil in two centuries has allowed the nation to flourish, besides selling weapons and oil to fuel others. Well, sorry to say folks, the war is inside now. It's no secret, that the enemy is partisanship and together with Covid, will undoubtedly undue much progress. There's no escaping one's own biases unless people come to terms, nor a virus that people deny exists.

Obviously we're all complicit. Who isn't? That's where it's going to take something beyond our current accepted ideologies to get over ourselves and the games we're used to playing. I've said before, Biden is not much better than Trump, but at least he's got the ability to walk across the isle and he won't be there past 4 years anyway. Maybe he'll leave a solid and lasting legacy, but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt if the next Republican president will be any better, so that's another decade or more of the same bullsh*t, unless people are faced with an existential threat, but by then it'll probably be too late to affect change. So, just keep delaying the inevitable...it was a fun ride while it lasted. The election is over, get on with life!

American voters didn’t have to be rocket scientists to understand that, for the first time in 244-years, the governors of Blue states were illegally changing the method by which they were instructing the residents in their states to elect a US President in sending 82 million newly created “vote by mail ballots” to residents in their states, who in many cases were not registered to vote and subsequently committed voter fraud.
