You know where my vote would go, but that would just be considered a wasted vote under the current system.

As would mine. Voting is just here to keep the masses placated and believing that they have a choice. (Local voting aside, of course.)

One of the remote learning systems I'm currently working on is a pilot project: The Intranet. It incorporates online learning in 5G without the need for an actual Internet connection, my new library server arrives Monday. Good news, I was also drafted on a new hockey team today: LOTR (Lords of the Rink, hehe) :xf.cool:

Good points all. I agree that the school structure is not natural, but what is natural anymore in today's society? Some kids will thrive in the school system, some will fail. This will continue to be the biggest hurdle:
Equitable access is another issue. It's difficult. All kids have different needs, different aptitudes and different ways of approaching learning, etc. Suffice to say that the schools as they currently are have not addressed that issue in the least. So I don't see the harm in trying something new.
Maybe the answer is to abolish schools. Teach the parents to teach the kids. Fund them to stay home and do it, and give them the resources to adapt learning to the individual needs of the child.

We're working on a model similar to that, but I would say it takes a learning community to raise a child.

You say I'm too sensitive. I say you guys have gotten too used to putting people down. Don't fall into that online trap.

Take a gander at what is directed their way. I see "dont try and rationalize with fanatics" just a few posts up. And that's mild stuff for this thread. If you do your best to avoid this, I think others will, too.

You will probably be offended at this as well, but I find Canadians in general to be a bit delicate. That includes my family there. It's part and parcel of the "nice" culture. If you spend any time in the UK, you will learn that ribbing is a sign that people like you. Try watching them go at it in Parliament there. American politicians would break down in tears. In the UK, they have a scorching debate and then go out for a pint. I have to watch myself in Canada.

That's a good idea - worth trying. Obviously, many parents will be useless teachers - so you will want a way to help their kids out. But I do think a more amorphous system is the way to go.

I strive for a higher standard in my treatment of people. I expect the same in return. I don't have a thin skin... quite the opposite. I just call people out on their crap.

Delicate! That's good. You don't know Canadians very well. I appreciate the lesson on my culture, though.

Hey @GILSAN, is it true you were ribbing me because you like me so much?

It's not an assessment. It's your biased opinion. It's an attempt to belittle me.

You guys shit all over the media for stifling non-liberal views and then you turn around and shit on someone who comes in here and expresses an opinion you don't like. Come on... be better than that.

To be honest the video was really interesting and worth discussing, but I'm pretty soured on that now.

Well, I guess this is what I get for expressing my opinion/assessment albeit not a deep one:) A lecture:)

on a serious note now, I will keep in mind that your posts are on the genuine side for now.

NYT fetches voting polling data 24/7;
and to their credit; didnt match bogus AZ call
If i could; iโ€™d rewrite the code if i

That's pretty edgy and open minded and open for interpretation:) does the donkey represent the dems?
By liberal, you mean a modern liberal or a classic liberal?

There are clips of SJW modern liberal barking rather than debating, I don't have a clear answer why they do that. Asking for a friend:)

You're projecting a liberal Canadian ideology into American politics, there's no point of reference, to the far Right mind, it's black and white, no middle ground to speak of...your just wasting your breath and brain cells trying to come to terms, lol. O_o

It sure is and that's thanks to Liberals thinking that anyone that don't share their opinions are dumb, racists, xenophobes and nazis. That has been going on and progressively getting worse for some years now.

The MSM and Hollywood are the main culprits of this division!
I don't know. When people get cut down while praying at church or kids at school, it's hard to blame msm or the left.

The internet itself is both the greatest and the most dangerous. Also guns play a big role. NRA is worse than msm.
