Nobody aside from the usual uninformed fringe ever believed he was a conservative republican. This is why it's sad and a bit funny when the lefties post something critical of Trump written by a republican - as if to say, "See? See? One of your own is against him!" After 4 years, they still haven't figured it out. Which is why Trump may get reelected. I am amazed everyday at how they have been unable to see this obvious point.

The choice is between a politician and a non-politician. However flawed he may be, many will prefer the non-politician. Why? Because politicians have been the main drivers that have brought us to this destination. Because their only interest is in making their machine bigger, stronger and totally dominant with the aim of ultimate power over the people.

Many are still stuck in the small manufactured world of Dems vs Republicans, as they have been trained to do. People need to open their minds. If the Dems offered a non-politician or even a politician who seemed less locked into the system, I would support that person.

Like you said, "when the people lead..." Right now the people aren't being very smart. They still look at the president like he is their Daddy who will make things all right in their life. Like toddlers. Until the people wake up nothing will change. I the meantime, the least we can do is gum up the works with Trump. That might buy us a little more time to wake up the public before totalitarianism and global destruction.

Invasion of AF and PK was to kill Bin Laden and the Taliban for the attack on America that happened on Sept 11, 2001.

Bin Laden wasn't in Iraq. He was in AF and escaped to Pakistan. It took a decade but he was found and killed there.

GW Bush invaded Iraq in 2003, AFTER Afghanistan. The premise was to find "weapons of mass destruction". All chemical weapons, etc were suspected of being moved to Syria before the invasion ( according to Donald Rumsfeld ).

I've been very critical of the Iraq war. Don't take a statement of facts as approval. One of the great disasters of our time - imo.

Granted, it's difficult to defend somebody else's words. Maybe Trump is a Gumshoe - "Don't Tread on Me".

People underestimated Trump's political aspirations, he came in as a Dark Horse - that was part of his mass appeal. I even thought he'd be decent at the time. He's also very good at self-promoting, which speaks widely to the Me Generation. Not sure if Trump will buy any more time, since he's already sold the farm.
