I understand the desire for an easy comedic foil. But when it's too easy, it just gets hopelessly stupid and tiresome. Rather than having interesting discussions, we have to explain to the toddler why he can't throw poop at the walls. Especially now that he's 12 years old.

Reminds me of when I used to teach high school. The one or two hopeless students with attitudes dragged the whole class down because of time wasted trying to get them to pull their pants up or some such basic thing.

I watched the debate, thanks for the link you've posted earlier. What did they do to Biden? He didn't stutter for like 2 hours, and was focused like in his good old days. I just doubt he can repeat that performance, but let's wait and see...

But it's what I mentioned earlier, every time Trump mentions that in an interview or tweet, he just lowers the bar for Biden, which just helps Biden. Even if Biden has a so-so debate, he'll come out looking good because Trump was pushing out low expectations. I will also point out Biden is in debate form. He just went thru a whole bunch of Dem contenders, then took on Sanders one on one. Trump is not in debate form and screwing up badly right now.

So is Pence, what he did today was ridiculous, pretending things are better with the virus. I hope Harris is the pick so I can watch her take him apart live on stage in front of the world.

Alright it makes sense that a side effect of Trump mocking him is lowering the expectations and it may give Biden an advantage at the debates this way. And who knows, maybe he's learned a thing or two from Trump and send everyone on a wild goose chase with this handicap that he actually overcame in his youth, making him a role model instead of a laughing stock. Much better than having everyone digging into Burisma or his long at odds record in politics.

In an announcement on the site posted Friday, CEO Andrew Torba said Gab was accused by Visa of “promoting hate speech.”

Visa could not be reached immediately for comment.

It is a well known hate site. When all this Epik stuff popped off, I went over there to check out out. It's drowning in anti-semitism. I checked the sports section out, there was some article on Serena Williams and it was just what I expected. Post after post about n***er this n***er that. Probably that racist Trump keeps at his side, Stephen Miller, got him signed up to that.

The owner of the site is full of it too, I saw the screenshots of his Facebook page before it put it private. The you can't have democracy with diversity, White Nationalist stuff. There is a reason that site is flooded with those types of people, it's who he marketed it too. He left a long trail. When I first checked it out, it was beyond ridiculous. He literally put a dove in the logo, was reposting nature and pet posts, and throwing around bible verses left and right, but he has a long history out there.

GAB bans people too, they have rules that get enforced like most places. Those very same people can cry about their Freedom of Speech.

Epik, I'm sure has enforced their TOS from time to time, just like other registrars. Other registrars might actually be more about freedom. Some are ok with porn. See Namecheap.

Big bullies like Twitter? You guys all have active Twitter accounts, GAB does.

GAB also imports tweets from Twitter. I remember when it came back online, checking out their sports section. Of course I expected the racist comments when a Serena Williams topic came up. But I thought stuff like this was funny - https://gab.com/barstoolsportsTweets

The sports section was a bit lacking, I guess this helps fill it up with some content. Also, the links go back out to Twitter. If you want to compete, don't advertise your competitors.

I doubt I'll be able to find anything as hateful as some of the examples in that list of tweets I linked to, posted by leftists/antifa people, and if you go by the same standard, deplatforming twitter is long overdue.

Most of those tweets don't even exist anymore. They probably got warnings and threatened with account bans. The ones that did still exist like this one you posted -

There is no threat there, they're talking about a horror movie. Twitter is much bigger, harder to police, but they have links you can click to report stuff. What somebody else does, has nothing to do with how you handle your own site.

And nobody said you can't be racist. Just that is where a lot of racists, White Nationalist types hang out, because the owner is one. Twitter has everybody, Gab has a certain type of crowd. Decent people don't hang out there.
