So as I see it, we are at a battle of the Democrats vs Republicans as the daily news continues to throw spears at both sides.

The news - on โ€œboth sidesโ€ are stirring it up. As is pseudo-news on social media.

Wow... just ...wow.

POTUS owns and profits from a luxury resort where paying members can have their pitch forwarded to a cabinet secretary... on resort stationary.

Think about that abit. We all need to look further back. Johnson started the stupid wasteful Dept of HUD, and he increased spending and lives lost in the stupid Vietnam war. Then Nixon ended the war, but started the stupid EPA. And all it has done is grown like cancer over the year like all Govt programs.

During Carter, interest rates were ridiculous and he gave away the Panama canal, which now the Chinese control- thanks to the Clintons help. He formed the wasteful Dept of Education, and Dept of Energy both not needed. Reagan had his share of issues with Tip O'Neil but they had dialog- he was liked by more people collectively I believe to date since he was President. Reagan was the last decent President imo. He tried to fix immigration, but the globalists-business wouldn't vote to sanction employers, if they enforced strict control on hiring, no problems like today.

Next, his Vice President began really the mess we have now imo. Bush 1, who mixed us up in the Middle East with saving his friends in Kuwait. He was a career Swamp critter, I pointed this out before in this thread his father was a criminal, just like the Kennedy Patriarch was a criminal. Then he gets the funeral of a King, paid for by Taxpayers. Clinton's Presidency was full of bickering, and his Lewinsky thing embarrassed the USA, Hillary tries to get single payer health care and it's rejected fortunately. Clinton somehow got lucky on the economic cycle, then Bush 2 and his creating the DHS- instead of subcontracting it all, and his increase in NSA/CIA/Patriot/Spy on Americans act, and chasing after Saddam for revenge on threats to his daddy.

Then do-nothing "but increase the debt " Obama, screws up healthcare, and Immigration issues increase, those 8 years went by fast. People started hating the Police more than ever. "Barry" Kenyaboy messed up Illinois and left Chicago a mess, then he comes to Washington to do the same. Libya and Arab spring thing happened under his watch. Benghazi and Hillary's scandals.

Yet now, Trump who says things that anger people gets picked on for things that he did WAY before the Oval office. Including now. Who gives a rip about business dealings before someone enters office? I certainly don't. It is only what decisions are made and what counts during office.

As far as the drama going on in DC now, it's all about power and ego battles. Had Paul Ryan been able to lead, we would have a wall, and other issues fixed by now. That lazy a*hole is partly why things are screwed up. Now in 2 months, the Democrats have been transformed by social media twitter idiots on both sides slamming each other, the President does not help himself with his comments. I get that he wants to bite back, but that makes the whole thing like a TV Drama. I don't know how many times he is going to repeat "There is no collusion", like the news does against him, over and over.

The News media has really been anti-Trump from the minute Van Jones made his Turd comment after the election night, it's been down the sewer since then as far as class and decorum.

As far as the political climate, the best thing Trump has done is expose the Swamp for what it is. Career swamp dwellers and leeches of tax dollars. During Obama, the wealth really increased in DC. They don't build or manufacture anything in DC, it's pure sucking on the American Taxpayers dime. Until Trump, nobody dared complain about the "system", it was great for exposing lopsided trade relations and doing something about it disagree with how, he is taking action. He exposed NATO scamming the American public, for reinforcing the Globalist agenda of exporting jobs from the US. Nafta was crazy, thanks to Clintons for that mess. Ross Perot warned everybody.

You know, the infrastructure in the US isn't that bad, if you compare it to other countries. Sure the Airports suck and are old, nothing like say Barajas, Zurich or Frankfurt which I mentioned before, but they are newer. I have been in quite a few international airports and most suck and are old, worn out just like some in the states.

The US highway system is really nice and fast- best I have ever seen, better than in Asia and Europe. Wider. Not clean like Switzerland, but not filthy retched like Manila. The Chinese have built out their infrastructure recently on cheap labor and copying US technology. Japanese too. S. Korea too. They out traded the US. But Labor Unions are also a cause of exporting jobs. Lazy fat ass union aerospace and autoworkers- they are part of the problem too, same ilk as lazy govt employees. Then Corporations cannot design decent cars. When was the last time you owned a GM car? They have failed at marketing and design.

Bottom line is the world has too much information and opinion flying to fast- now that people react before thinking- they react like children- both sides. The anger and hate is disgusting, and uncalled for. After the Kavanaugh hearing things got really ridiculous, Fake Dr. Palo Alto whats her name. Then especially these recent 2 months of garbage- 3 nobody millennials listening to Mr. Free Stuff Bernie in congress on twitter make outrageous claims, ideas, attempting to disrupt the entire system in a social justice b.s. agenda, and non-capitalist manner- what a joke.

But why should we worry? The world is going to end in 12 years anyway according to climate experts like AOC.
Another great post... Thanks!

Yeah. They said that Led Zeppelin was a piss-poor Cream wannabe band that wasn't going anywhere. They didn't back off that until the 3rd album. They hated Queen and Black Sabbath. And they know even less about politics than they did about music.

I am curious why you say this. So far as the highway system, I would say the complete opposite. Yes, US roads are wide, and they are free (a big plus), but they are not nearly as well maintained as highways in Europe or Japan.

For airports, most Asian airports are comfortable and fairly new. Admittedly, many have booming new economies whereas the US and Europe are coasting on the efforts of their ancestors.

I was in the multi syllable cant-pronounce BKK Bangkok Airport a few years ago. Its really insane, confusing to get a cab and worse than LAX. Vienna was also nice, forgot about it. Trains in the EU are nice.. Atlantas new wing was also nice when passed through it. I have driven all over the west my entire life border to border many times. Inland to Denver, then stopped. The freeways are all great, wide and free. Drove twice from NJ down to N. Carolina on 95 in 1990โ€™s, nice too. Sure N. East coast has bridges much older than the west, lots were steel and rivets. Florida has nice roads too. Actually โ€œInfrastructureโ€ in general canโ€™t think of specific examples of things that need repairing other than old Airports, but I bet most would be East Coast issues due to weather and age.

Japan has some decent roads like that Kobe bridge. In Osaka I wasnt impressed, it was really old and moldy looking everywhere. The trains were great. Vienna and Switzerland were way more cleaner than anywhere in Osaka and Kyoto, Japan. I do see nice small streets on the NMK channel though.

Most got healthcare for the first time, majority of Americans favored it.

Yeah for free, and illegals too. Who pays? there are public hospitals for the poor. $24,000 a year a friends son was paying for obamacares wealth transfer of middle class subsidizing poor. The hospitals charges are all out of control too.

You just hate Trump since he is rich.

Most people are jealous of the wealthy and would rather rob them, than attempt to emulate their success. The Poor me entitled generation. I had heard through a partner of a wealthy employer that todays youth employee attitude isnt โ€œhow can I be like this guyโ€, but... โ€œwhy is this guy rich?โ€, WHY implies he is a thief. they look for ways of stealing from them instead of succeeding. So, they (the smart rich) will all eventually move out of the US.

The corruption of some is even condoned by shareholders, like those CEOโ€™s paid huge bonuses after losing tons of money.

Look at GE, they dont pay taxes. How about Amazon paying some taxes?

Trump has failed in Casinos, in Airline, etc. So what! NK talks are better than nothing like all Presidents before. Attempting to build the wall and immigration reform leadership is being obstructed for identity politics, wimpy democrats scared of doing what is right. First President with huevos to attempt it.

the british are already out, leaving. Watch what happens to taxes if democrats get their green new idiot plan and medicare for all plan.

You and I will always disagree, which is fine. I am no 100% Trump fan, but I see the agenda of focusing on the US making sense. I do think Unions are why manufacturing jobs will never recover to pre 80โ€™s levels. Made in China, will eventually be better quality and they will be the world power. India will eventually rise up as well.

Of course nobody hates Trump or any other person for being rich. Jealousy is stupid.
On the other hand we hate him for screwing the nation, for cheating on taxes and everything, scamming, not paying his dues, not being a decent and honest citizen, for being an hypocrite, for employing undocumented foreign labor, for building up a massive deficit etc.

He's the swamp and you guys are looking the other way.

I am curious why you are picking up on corps like Amazon, that happens to be a nemesis of 45.
It's incorrect to say that Amazon does not pay taxes. They are presently not paying federal income taxes. They are still subject to others. I understand this is by virtue of TCJA AKA Trump tax cuts AKA Cut Cut Cut Act.
A scheme enacted in 2017, that is under Tump. So, if it's available to Amazon, it's available to others as well. At least you know who to blame.
But 45 is more protective of his tax records than state secrets (he's careless and leaker in chief), I wonder why.

Speaking of healthcare, many Americans who are not poor simply cannot afford it. It doesn't have to be that way. Other developed nations have better healthcare and spend less of their GDP than the US. The American system is inefficient.

Republicans always like to cut taxes especially on the rich to make themselves look good and then they have no way to fully pay for everything when the bills come due.
Then it takes a Democrat to come in later and raise taxes to try and pay for and fix all the damages the Republicans did.

Pretty normal stuff.

Tax revenue at an all time high. Middle class got tax cuts. Smaller returns are due to withholding changes.

Corrupt AF.

No it's not. No different than Elon Musk emailing the President asking for a meeting with one of his Secretaries.

Now, if he had asked for a donation before agreeing to forwarding the connection like the CLINTON'S DID FOR YEARS. That would be corrupt af.

Don't believe me? Why have donations to Clinton Foundation dried up.

Guess who I was talking to here:

"The federal budget deficit ballooned rapidly in the first four months of the fiscal year amid falling tax revenue and higher spending, the Treasury Department said Tuesday, posing a new challenge for the White House and Congress as they prepare for a number of budget battles."

That is such BS.

The Extra money workers got back on the checks last year that the republicans sold us on was nothing more then a shell game.

They were promised more in their checks and they got it, but what they didn't know was the Gov just moved money from their refunds to their weekly checks. That is why the refunds are smaller and the checks were a little bigger.

Had workers known that the new tax laws required them to change their withholdoldings and had they done so, then their checks would have not been any bigger and their refunds would have not been smaller..

There never was a Middle Class tax cut, just a republican shell game.

We deny your Alternative Facts.
What I said was fact.

Bigger Paychecks as promised resulted in Smaller Refunds.

In other words it was just a wash.
No Middle Class tax cuts were ever given.

Right. When you pay thousands and get a hundred more back for the year. It's not a leap to understand that larger checks due to with-holding rules and lower taxes are not exclusive of each other.

Last year it was raises aren't real because of the magic numbers. This year it's paying less in taxes is a ripoff because my return was less.

No shit.... you were taxed less so you paid less ! Tax returns aren't a bonus, that's how much YOU OVERPAID.

No shit refunds are due to overpaying, that is not news to anyone.

The fact is at the end of the year there was No real middle class tax cut, just a re-balancing of the payroll tax laws to make it look like at first there was a tax cut because everyone checks were a little bigger (not counting any raises) but the laws made it to where your refunds would be smaller to compensate for any increase payroll checks due to new tax law.

A Wash!

Just another Bullshit promise of middle class tax cuts from bullshit politicians.

Oh yeah, you just love Trump because of his orange hair and he reminds you of Bozo the Clown or you only like him because you want to have sex with his daughter, just like he does. haha, because he is rich. C'mon, you can do better.

Illegals don't get Obamacare, here's the specific section on that:
"Access limited to lawful residents. If an individual is not, or is not reasonably expected to be for the entire period for which enrollment is sought, a citizen or national of the United States or an alien lawfully present in the United States, the individual shall not be treated as a qualified individual and may not be covered under a qualified health plan in the individual market that is offered through an Exchange."

So you were on some roads in the 90's, and they were great with you. Again, both sides agree on this, even fellow Trump supporters like Domainace just called you on that. Some roads are horrible. Any time I drive thru SC, 2 lanes, lights not working at night most of the time. What about bridges? That alone is a big issue. What about the future, things like high speed rail?

Tax revenue at an all time high. Middle class got tax cuts. Smaller returns are due to withholding changes.

"While individual income tax receipts have increased in nominal dollars since last fiscal year, this statistic paints a misleading picture in a number of ways. Specifically, it ignores reductions in other sources of revenue, doesn't account for inflation, and relies in part on revenue raised by last year's tax code. Considering the entire tax code and focusing specifically on this tax year shows that total revenue has declined between 4 and 9 percent."
