She won a local race, not a National one. And it could be simply be a shoot for the moon, land on some stars type of deal. 70%-90% taxes, no. I don't support that. But even the majority of Republicans support stuff like Medicare for all:

Ask for a bunch of stuff, they say no, but we'll give you this and that. This and that being what they wanted in the first place.

She's young and hungry. And it's not on behalf of the Dem party, it's on behalf of some in the party. Every party runs the range, from moderate to the extremes. I'm sure she'll get checked every now and then. And you are free to have different opinions, you're wanting them to boot her out. Even on the Republican side. You have far right types like Trump and then you have Never-Trumpers in the same party. Like I said earlier, I think we should split them up some, I think there is enough for 4 parties.

Sanders is doing the same thing he did before. He pretends to be a Democrat only during election time when he's running to take advantage of their organization, never helps out the party at any other time. Considers himself an Independent every other time, literally has I next to his name instead of D or R. He should stop beating around the bush and just go ahead and start a Socialist Party. There is a power struggle in the Dems. It will be interesting to see what happens. Some are trying to pull them more left than a lot want to go. Biden would a moderate type.

It'll be alright, she's just trying to flex a little. Like I said, I don't think most in the party are ok with 70-90% taxes, abolishing ICE etc. But something with healthcare is more doable. Especially, when you have Republicans supporting it as well. We'll get a better idea once the candidates are all out there and we see who rises to the top. I think to win a National Election, you need to go more Moderate.

I don't see her as "taking freedom" from anyone. I see her as wanting better for all. I think her intentions are good, but her vision is not practical to implement as she pictures it. There needs to be compromise, give and take.

I think medicare for all is a good idea. We can and should take better care of our own. Other countries do it, I have friends in several of them. Nobody's dying in the streets or going broke paying their taxes. OTOH people here go bankrupt paying medical bills and premiums are ridiculous unless you’re in a group plan or subsidized. However I think Bernie's concept of it paying for everything for everyone istoo costly. Other countries have some conditions and different options available. But nobody should die of an asthma attack because they are uninsured and can't afford the meds (which can be hundreds of dollars if you're uninsured.)

I'm not convinced on free college education or guaranteed minimum income, it would depend on the details of implementation. I don't want to see college "dumbed down", I don't want to see instructors shortchanged on pay. At the same time college costs have skyrocketed - gotten out of hand and way out of reach of many. Free college, if implemented, needs to be merit-based. Not like you barely pass high school and get free college, but if you're a good student and have stayed on the right side of the law I'd be OK with that. Odds are the latter student will use their education and become an asset to society in some way. The former not as likely to be a good ROI on investment.

The republican party is going to have to "salvage whats left of it" after the dirty laundry is aired and the trash taken out.

We just might see that change from 2 parties to 3 or 4 in the next several years.
