...I am pro choice like EU laws of up to 3 months, like in case of rape, etc. beyond that no way...
OK, this got me started thinking. This is a question I've never pondered before.

For those that are anti-abortion, what are your thoughts on a close family member in a coma/permanent vegetative state with no expectations for recovery?

Should the other family members be allowed authjorize the removal of life support devices or should the individual be required to remain on life support and receive any and all additional medical care necessary (at what ever the cost) to keep the organs functioning until they are no longer able to continue?

Tough question, but if she was pregnant I would be in favor of keeping her alive as in this case:
Coma woman gives birth to daughter

A car crash victim who was in a coma virtually her entire pregnancy has given birth to a healthy daughter.

Doctors said it is one of few known cases in the United States in which a comatose woman was able to carry a baby to full term.

The mother, Chastity Cooper, 24, has slowly improved since the November accident but still cannot move or talk. She is in a vegetative state, able to open her eyes and follow people around the room.

Her daughter, Alexis Michelle, weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces, was born on Monday at University Hospital.

She is not the only case... other women have given birth under similar circumstances!

Thanks for responding GILSAN. I agree that it's a vexing question.

Glad to hear Ms Cooper's family has her daughter to share their love with and I hope Ms Cooper is able to recover and come out of her vegetative state.

(And to add a little clarification. The person in the coma isn't necessarilly pregnant and can be male or female.)

These are not easy questions, but I will tell you this: If a family fights for permission to withdraw life support from a family member child, they won't be popping champagne and hanging festive lights when they finally get that permission. It will be a somber and sad affair.

This moral core seems to be missing in many with the pro abortion camp. The lights and parades in New York show either complete ignorance or depravity.

Both cases involve taking a life, and should be treated with seriousness, no matter what one's personal stance is.

It is a very hard thing to do, My mother was found unconscious and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, she flatlined 3 times en route to the hospital, they had to put her on life support, she was brain dead as well, when they finally let me go back to her, I knew she was gone, I called my family and told them if they wanted to see her, they would need to get up to the hospital asap, I had power of attorney over her, I told the doctor that once family had gone in to see her, to stop the life support immediately, and so the doctor did turn off the life support equipment once family had gone in and said their goodbye to her. and she passed.

If a person is in a car wreck or has an accident and the doctor says they may live, not in a vegetative state, then I would hang on and give them a chance to recover, leave them on life support until they had enough and couldn't recover.

If a person has untreatable cancer, a brain tumor or have an illness with death being inevitable, hell no, no life support, I wouldn't put a person through the suffering, Nor would I want to be put through the suffering.

If it were a pregnant women, if the baby is doing ok and can be delivered, I would leave her on life support.

One thing that is guaranteed, every one of us here has a date with death.

I am getting old. that is why I want to see good things happen for our country now, It isn't Democrat or Republican, It is about the people, the future of our children, the future of our country.

Ocasio-Cortez is doing just what I figured she would do, She is working on going full Kardashian, being on the front page of the major publications daily, perhaps she will have a reality show soon.

Possible show titles:

Make it a Venti!

If their is sufficient evidence that one of the two people in the picture is the Governor and he resigns as a result, shouldn't it then be appropriate for the T-man - who has admitted forcing himself on women - to resign as well?

"Coonman" ( nickname in Naval academy ) has already admitted one of the 25 year old men in the picture was him, and no he won't resign. D's in state Gov are not calling for his resignation.

I don't think Trump would resign either but the condemnation would be a lot louder. NBC would already be making a made for TV movie.

**BTW, I don't think the Gov should resign. Doing dumb stuff at parties doesn't make you racist. Just wondering if D's would demand it from their own. Two weeks and everyone will move one.

If that's him, he should resign. He also removed certain pictures of his Lt Gov in certain voting areas. Of course people will look at what he's done since then. Still waiting on what he has to say. If he does, do we apply this to Republicans as well?

R' FL Secretary of State:

Florida Secretary of State Mike Ertel resigns after Halloween blackface photos emerge
https://www.tallahassee.com/story/n...-dressed-blackface-halloween-2005/2649161002/

I don't think he should resign unless someone has evidence he's acted badly while Gov.

I'm not anti-abortion, I"m pro-life but will answer anyway.

Patients who are in vegetative state have rights and the law makes clear who is responsible to make decisions for the patient. A serious illness or event has happened to the patient. A wife or adult child of the patient would best know their wishes and should proceed appropriately.

A unborn baby also has human rights. A baby is not responsible for their own creation or their own safety and well-being. No tragic even has happened to him or her.

In the case of a patient, recovery may be impossible. In the case of most abortions, the life of he child is seen as an inconvenience. Instead of safe and rare, abortion is used as birth control.

For every 1,000 live births, non-Hispanic Black women had 390 abortions. Non-Hispanic White women had 111 abortions/1,000 live births
https://rtl.org/outreach/

** Abortion means a living human being who is preparing to be born will suffer a violent death.

The only way this picture could be funnier is if the guy in the KKK hood was black and his nickname was crackerman.

I don't think he should resign for painting his face black either. I really don't see what the big deal is.

African tribes paint their faces white... no big deal whatsoever...

The Governors thoughts about Abortion are much more insulting!!!

Everyone does stupid stuff. If the D's can forgive Robert Bird for being a KKK grand wizard, they can forgive Gov of VA.

Dressing up as somebody that terrorized and murdered black people, mr-x, eh.

Today, he's denying it's him in the picture.

I'm waiting for the Micheal Jackson pic and video of him dancing.

Yesterday he was apologizing for it. You should watch the P/C video... his wife stopped him from doing the moon walk.

Happened 30 years ago. Democrats were making excuses for Robert Bird, a real KKK leader in 2016. I know democrat power is based on identity politics and as such, feign hypersensitivity but your party tolerates bigotry very well.

You're the only one talking about him, dude had been dead for almost 9 years. Times are different now. If you have this kind of thing in the past and want to get into politics, the only way nowadays is as a Republican.

Duh. What people let slide, doesn't happen nowadays. I think sometimes you're still trapped in the past as well with your defense of men who assault women. Just reread your grabbing ass posts. It's why most Dems want him to resign, you're here defending it.

As far as Byrd, praised by the NAACP, last time you brought it up - https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-nps-official-usa-political-thread.764342/page-1092#post-6952885

Today, you still have Steve King, Trump etc. wouldn't be in the Dem party.
