Seven Found Guilty Over Rotherham Grooming and Rape of Young Girls

Seven men of Pakistani heritage from South Yorkshire were found guilty of sexual offences against underage girls in the latest abuse trial following the inquiry into the Rotherham grooming gang scandal.

Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 39, Asif Ali, 33, Tanweer Ali, 37, Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 37, Nabeel Kurshid, 35, Iqlak Yousaf, 34, and a seventh man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were convicted on Monday of grooming and sexually abusing five underage girls between 1998 and 2005, reports the BBC.

An eighth man, Ajmal Rafiq, 39, was found not guilty of indecent assault and false imprisonment.

Operation Stovewood came about as a result of the 2014 Jay Report which found that 1,400 — estimates revised to up to 1,510 last year — mainly white, working-class girls had been groomed and raped by gangs of mostly Pakistani-origin Muslim men between 1997 and 2013. The report also exposed the culture in police and social services of political correctness and of not believing victims that allowed the abuse to go on for so long.

This is just the latest conviction of a Pakistani-heritage grooming gang from Rotherham, with another recent trial ending in the sentencing of 20 abusers in Huddersfield.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid — himself of Muslim, Pakistani heritage — was criticised by leftists for his reaction to the conviction of the Huddersfield rape gang when he condemned them as “sick Asian paedophiles”.

You don't award the far-right label for nothing, it has been earned through words or deeds. Which seems to be the case here. Gab in particular has been a safe haven for Bowers and people like him, as such it contributes to radicalization of unstable individuals.

I have never used GAB, no idea other than it is not censoring based on comments I have read. This past few months of censoring is very dangerous, the world has not changed and always been full of nut cases you know for now thousands of years. The only difference with now is the speed at which information travels and decisions are made to harm upstart businesses and individuals with knee jerk reactions.

Of course not, and you know it. You don't take a platform down just because of a bad member.

It's not just one isolated nut, the site has a pattern of hosting hate speech and has been a haven for like-minded people. What is dangerous is the emulation among people hiding behind aliases, without any restraint or sense of personal responsibility. When you have is a bunch of immature or downright deranged (and armed) people patting each other on the back, literally daring the other party to do something - at some point someone takes the bait.
Facilitating and abetting hate speech has real consequences. They can be witnessed today.
Anybody who takes part in it is part of the problem.

GoDaddy confirmed its decision in a statement to The Verge.

“We have informed Gab.com that they have 24 hours to move the domain to another provider, as they have violated our terms of service. In response to complaints received over the weekend, GoDaddy investigated and discovered numerous instances of content on the site that both promotes and encourages violence against people.”

I understand there is also a history of other violations prompting other companies like Paypal etc to cut service as well.

The free speech brigade use the argument in order to justify their own intolerant opinions. But they don't really care about free speech because they don't even care about freedoms in general. They actually support authoritarian rule.
Maybe some people feel good hiding behind free speech, to justify racists enjoying more protection and privileges than the victims.
But when your family happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time at the next killing, your reaction will probably be different.

There is a lack of empathy overall.
