How our current and 3 previous POTUS spent 4th of July.

Breast feeding has been scientifically proven to give babies the healthiest start in life. It provides maternal antibodies and other things you can’t replicate with a manufactured formula. So why did the US try to block (and even threatened some other countries over it) a resolution by the WHA supporting breast feeding?

Excuse was that “some women can’t breast feed” and they shouldn’t be “stigmatized”. Well duh - if you can’t, you can’t and you have to go with something else! But for the ones who can, it’s still healthier.

Anyone remember back in the mid 20th century when nobody was breast feeding because baby food companies falsely convinced everyone formula was better? Big deal when that scam hit the fan...big profit loss for the formula manufacturers. I sense these companies trying to sell the same snake oil to a new generation...

That was mostly an American thing... Over here, breast feeding has always been the norm, because Pediatricians told the mothers that the natural way was the best way.

Was it only the US Baby food companies or was it also the American Pediatricians fault, since surely it was they who suggested not breast feeding, or wasn't it?

Reminds me of Americans also being convinced by mostly Jewish doctors, last century, that circumcision was good, healthy and clean for the baby boys... What a load of bull. It's a totally unnecessary operation and the only benefit it brings is to enrich doctors that do these operations...

Well, that's true, it is healthier. Plus, you don't have a funny looking penis. Women prefer it as well:
