She seems smart but doesn't get it, "play hardball".

Democrats need to sit down, figure out where they can work with the Republicans. If she thinks she can organize protest to move the country.. it doesn't work. Ask Occupy, BLM, Antifa.

"we should not be separating children from their families." What law is Ocasio-Cortez going to work on with Republicans to solve the problem?

I think most Americans want to treat immigrants, legal or illegal like we treat everyone else, just don't ignore laws and treat them better than citizens.

Swedish Brรฅvalla Music Festival Permanently Cancelled After Wave of Sex Attacks
Last year, the festival saw at least 11 sex attacks, three of which led to arrests; the year before, nearly 40 young girls complained of being sexually harassed or abused by men often described as โ€œforeignโ€.

My guess is Trump will nominate Amy Coney Barrett

Court is loaded with Catholics. Would be nice to see a little religious diversity too.

Reuters Editor Blames Trump for Annapolis Newsroom Shooting: โ€˜Blood on Your Handsโ€™
Rob Cox, Global Editor for Thomson Reutersโ€™ Breakingviews vertical, said the Capital Gazette newspaper shooting was a direct response to President Donald Trumpโ€™s criticism of the mainstream media.

This is what happens when @realDonaldTrump calls journalists the enemy of the people. Blood is on your hands, Mr. President. Save your thoughts and prayers for your empty soul.

Trumps fault??? LOL... How about Russia? Their fault as well?

He latter tweeted apologies.... These people are really fast on the draw to blame Trump... what a biased idiot... why didn't he blame Maxine?

When I saw the news today that a mass shooter had targeted the employees of a newspaper in Maryland I responded emotionally and inappropriately.

2- Though my comments were entirely personal, they were not in keeping with the Reuters Trust Principles and my own standards for letting facts, not snap judgments, guide my understanding.

3 - My experience as a member of the community of Newtown, Connecticut in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy, combined with the possibility that my colleagues in the press were being targeted, pushed me into a state of emotional distress.

4 - I am sorry for my comments, which I quickly deleted and have disavowed, and especially remorseful if they did anything to distract from the thoughts and love we must send to the community of Annapolis.

It gets better:

"He spent most of his time talking about putting restraints on state judges in divorce cases โ€” which are not federal matters.

Itโ€™s a personal cause for Pappas, who cited his own divorce case, which he said began in 2004 and was still ongoing."

They say the guy sandpapered his fingertips to try to prevent his ID being understood.

Dude those lines grow back real fast

They tagged him by facial recognition. Probably not smart to leave his profile pic up on Twitter. Obviously not the brightest bulb in the box.

Sort of โ€œrelievedโ€ that it turned out to be a crazy with a long standing grudge against the paper. Still, I have to wonder if irresponsible rhetoric like calling the press โ€œenemy of the peopleโ€ or that dude advocating shooting journalists prompted him or made him feel entitled to act as he did. Words matter, especially coming from someone in a position of power - POTUS should be more mindful when choosing his.

Two writers, two editors and a sales associate. Innocent ordinary people with families doing their job...my condolences to their loved ones.

She looks so young

She IS young! I hadnโ€™t heard of her before either, but from what Iโ€™m seeing she seems smart, idealistic, dedicated and refreshingly โ€œreal.โ€ Hope she wins the seat -sheโ€™ll be an interesting person to watch.

Or he saw other being confronted in restaurants.

My feeling is its more the use a gun the thing to do attitude, gets you on tv quicker. Probably would cost 100 mil to rent TV channels for 6 straight hours

This guy was so stupid. It was the equivalent of contacting the cheerleader from high school 15 some years later that never really knew you from Adam, then never leave her alone digitally. Then get embarrassed when it ends up in your local newspaper. Then never getting over it.

The irresponsible rhetoric is coming from the Liberal Media, who's job is to be neutral and UNBIASED, which they are NOT and no longer try to hide it. They are supposed to give us the news and facts, not biased opinions, that are always against Conservatives.

This shooting as far as we know, had no political motives, but the Liberals started immediately blaming Trump.

To the MSM it's Trumps fault as usual... so I say: Give them hell Trump...

No. Just ... no.

SOME people jumped the gun (no pun intended) on this. MOST of us held back judgement until we heard the story. With very few exceptions, the press held back and reported NOTHING until the police identified him and had a motive. I was following the story - the "mainstream" media in particular was very careful NOT to jump to conclusions this time.

BOTH "sides" report news with bias of their viewpoint. That's why they get classified as having "sides." Nearly all media outlets on both sides report both news AND opinion pieces / editorials. Their respective audiences want that. Their advertisers want that.

Just because you agree with the conservative media viewpoints doesn't make their reporting any less biased. You're just blind to it because of confirmation bias. And some of the outlets you claim to follow are WILDLY innacurate, full of conspiracy theories and the like. Fact checked and proven cray-cray. A few years ago it was alien kidnappings etc. Now political fiction gets more eyeballs on their sites and more clicks on their ads, so political crap it is.

For a SITTING PRESIDENT to CONSTANTLY attack the press - recently calling them the "Enemy of the people" (but only the ones who criticize him) - this INCITES VIOLENCE because some people listen to this drivel.

It's at best irresponsible and at worst a deliberate attack on the free press of our country - one of the "checks and balances" of our system of government. Notice who he attacks. He attacks the press. He attacks the justice system. He attacks the intelligence community. Basically, every one able to hold him responsible for his actions.

You're going to bring up Maxine - Maxine advocated confronting members of the administration in public and speaking out. She did NOT advocate violence. She did NOT tell anyone to harm supporters. But there's this:

"She has just called for harm to supporters (this is a lie - she did NOT), of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement...Be careful what you wish for Max!โ€

What was he insinuating? She just cancelled a scheduled appearance because of a large number of credible death threats she received following that. People threatening to lynch her (very fine non-racist people, I'm sure ...) You don't think his influence had something to do with that?

Whether you like her or not, we as a country dont tolerate lies that promote violence towards our elected officials or other people. Coming from the president or from anyone else. Totally wrong.

MSNBC's Donny Deutsch said Trump supporters are the "bad guy" in America and are akin to Nazis.

Same on CNN by Anna Navaro, others. You can't go two hours on CNN or MSNBC or Rueters or AP without a journalist calling Trump voters names. Before Trump, it was Tea Bagger Party conservatives being called racist, terrorist and worse.

I'm not complaining but don't try to pretend the media hasn't picked a side and is above slander or inciting violence.

MSNBCโ€™s Joe Scarborough: โ€œIf You Support Trump Then Youโ€™re Supporting Racism and You are Racistโ€
