Takeaway:
From now on, bona fide refugees (or otherwise) who decide to cross the border have good reason to go stealth and evade regular immigration mechanisms. Why make a formal declaration in front of ICE at a port of entry when you know what's awaiting you ?
Perhaps that's the intention, force aliens to move underground to drive statistics down and then claim you fixed the problem.

If they present themselves to border patrol and tell them they seek asylum, they lose their kids until however long it takes to check them out and determine the request status.
If they enter illegally, theres a chance they’ll fly under the radar and will be together.

Another note on that wall fiasco: What’s to the east and west of the Mexican / US border? Most contraband arrives in this country by sea...

$25-$40 billion is a lot cheaper than the free benefits that a high % of them recieve. There are a lot of other savings to be made, like the costs of encarcerating thousands of criminals, as well as the costs to human lives from all the drugs going through the present porous border areas.

Landing on the moon and returning safelly about 50 years ago was a million times harder to do.

The Great Wall of China is over 6000 km long and over 600 years old and was infinately harder to build...

You bet I would! In fact it would be the very first thing that should be done. The money saved on all the freeloaders, could easily go for healthcare and there would still a lot of $ left for other stuff, like building infrastructure, thus creating thousands of new jobs...

The way things are going with healthcare, citizens will die - losing insurance because of a pre existing condition, premiums priced beyond what people can affford...

You welcome virtuous liberal. My ancestors were Vikings and roamed the northeast before most "indigenous" people knew what a horse was. BTW, "indigenous" has been replaced by "first peoples".

I would have thought a smart, virtuous liberal like yourself would keep up on that kind of important information.
