One doesnโ€™t โ€œlookโ€ โ€œwhite collarโ€ - it refers to types of crimes like fraud, embezzlement, bribery (as opposed to burglary, murder, assault, etc.)

Dโ€™Souza committed campaign finance fraud and plead guilty to it. Any โ€œpolitically motivatedโ€ whining is because he got caught.

So you think Jack Johnson was a white collar criminal?

Media plays a deft game, Mentioning D'Souza with criminals with Blogo and Martha Stewart. D'Souza gave too much money to a friends political campaign. He didn't steal anything or defraud anyone.

He was put in jail because he had written a book and made a film that was very anti-Liberal and anti-Obama.

After that, the powerfull forces of the leftist Obama government did whatever was necessary to silence him... and they did...

Nice conspiracy theory, but he plead guilty to campaign finance fraud.

He created โ€œstrawโ€campaign donors and reimbursed them to get around campaign finance rules. Nobody twisted his arm to do that and he knew full well what he was doing.

And he plead guilty. I can't remember anyone going to jail, especially a first time offender, for the same crime.

I think it's fair to say the law was harder on Dinesh b/c of his politics. Just like the author of a youtube video that didn't cause a riot in Benghazi.

Thanks @GILSAN I have been logging in on and off, but no domain news lately. Decided to pick up the guitar again, so practicing with new tools. Also, researching and planning my next move of travelling long term for maybe in the Fall for end of year. Having difficulty as the world is getting uglier it seems, Tommy Robinson arrested and all the stabbings and violence so boycotting any UK trips, same with terrorism crap in France, Sweden and Germany and their anti American sentiment, already had issues in Austria on my journey a couple years ago. Iโ€™d like to stay travelling in Latin America, I was getting confident in going 6 months south down through all countries to Argentina until reading about their money thing AGAIN! Reading about the pending dumb defaults once more.

Venezuela govt elections I see has scammed itself into status quo, been seeing a few around and took an uber ride with a dentist who escaped. A qualified dentist surviving driving an Uber. Ugh.

In Nicaragua I have several good friends, numerous acquaintences and one I sent Visa money to help her and her son escape. The MSM isnโ€™t covering anything, but they are looting, burning down houses, robbing, stabbing, shooting off mortars total โ€œcaosโ€ as she described it. And she lives near the Honduras border, so it appears from other reading country wide mess. Another friend left college for safety. And a gringo guy business owner south of the capital, writes the govt supporters are tied into their police force on their side doing the dirty work. Normal people dont get tear gas or mortars, so its from someone described via email an inside job. At least no bombs going off, YET. Hope this isnt another civil war brewing. The people are tired of Ortega, Maduro should invite him there or to exhile in Cuba.

As far as politics, I am getting really tired of so much negativity of what I read and the mainstream press. There is no real reporting on either side, Fox seems to be all Trump only and CNN is all anti Trump only and really skewed now since the election.

I was dismayed at that news this week that Kim K. was given an hour to talk to a busy president, I guess he is trying too score points with Hollywood idiots. Nowhere did I read about what crime or 21 years in prison this 63 year old did though. Complete omission of pertinent facts. All articles I read (3) never once mentioned her crime and why she deserved the sentence she got, all the articles were focused on โ€œpoor meโ€ part and need of a pardon. The president has the โ€œother Kimโ€ to focus on that effects all of the world. Funny, watching NHK TV in English, no mention I have seen what the NK neighbors are doing like S Korea, and Japan it would be nice to hear them state something, maybe they are too close to the problem and need to be quiet anyway. Its all Trump all the time on many channels.

I say bring on the trade wars if the imbalances are not addressed. Leave the Mercedes and BMWโ€™s in Duselldorf or stuck in Rotterdam and let the new American leadership figure out all the mess country by country. US leadership has been incompetent in managing the trade imbalances over 30 years now. Sure buying cheap imported goods has been great, but the party needs to end and manufacturing and middle class has overall shrank. Now it is time for smaller business to start building something other than more hot-air โ€œappsโ€, and more infrastructure jobs. Compare the Barajas Airport to LAX or Newark, its a total joke. Same with EU trains versus Amtrak.

Maybe the EU will split apart?, not sure how you feel about that but seems like a few unelected people in Brussels and their decisions are screwing over the entire continent. Seems like borders and cultures should be respected once again, no free flow of just anyone (Soros agenda) anywhere in schengen and leave the easy trade and transport of goods part just the way it is among the EU nations. Italy was in the news today. Denmark recently banned wearing stuff covering your face, which makes sense for personal safety reasons. Try entering a Bank anywhere in the world with a mask on, same thing not permitted, but because of pandering to the PC crowd, they want to argue it.

BUZZ OFF! BuzzFeed News tried to force Change.org to REMOVE #FreeTommy petition with over 566,000 signatures
FAR-LEFT News outlet BuzzFeed News tried to force Change.org to remove the record-breaking #FreeTommy petition that has been signed by over 566,000 people.

Democrat supporting BuzzFeed which banned Donald Trump from advertising on the site during the 2016 Presidential Election claimed that the petition should be removed because itโ€™s โ€œracistโ€ and claims that the petition wrongly claims he was โ€œarrested and jailed for reporting on Muslim grooming gangs.โ€

BuzzFeedโ€™s Hannah Al-Othman penned an article that said: โ€œChange.org Has Refused To Take Down An Inaccurate Petition Calling For Tommy Robinson To Be Freedโ€

I stalked you @offthehandle just yesterday to see if you were still active on NP. I saw you were and remembered you saying you were taking a break from the Political Thread for awhile. Glad you stopped by, as your educated and intelligent insight are always a pleasure to read! The media negativity and the total disrespect and obstruction from the left surrounding President Trump is unprecedented and does get tiring from time to time, but I think it's important for patriotic Americans who love their country to continue to support the administration regardless of where you live in the world! Cheers!!

Congratulations to Matteo Salvini, the new Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister of Italy. GO MATTEO! Now transform the life of Juncker, the EU President, into a hell... because he and his cohorts will certainly be doing it to you.

Fascist, nazi, racist are so overused, they are meaningless. I have no idea if this guy is a real fascist but I doubt it.

Roseanne retweeted that pic but it's fake like a lot of the stuff you post:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m.../whoopi-goldberg-shirt-donald-trump-doctored/

Typical bs from you guys. Besides you all posting and retweeting fake stuff, this is where we're at, a President crying on Twitter about getting an apology. He's turned the Presidency into a joke.

I agree, trump has made the presidency a joke. He has been making me laugh ever since he became president.

If youโ€™re on Twitter, check out the hashtag #ShareAGunViolenceStory

Mostly doctors and EMTs.

The most notable are stories like this:

In 2000, I started medical school in a country where guns are controlled. I worked as a doctor in that country and now in a different country where they are also controlled. 18 years in healthcare and I've literally never seen a gunshot wound. #ShareAGunViolenceStory

And this

20+ years in Australian emergency medicine. City of 4 million. I have not had a #ShareAGunViolenceStory since 2002. The political system had the courage to make that happen back in 1996

A relative of mine was an ER MD before going into private practice. Saw numerous gsw those first years.

I know whoโ€™s going to disagree with me and I know exactly what youโ€™re going to say, but sorry - some countries got it right. This isnโ€™t one of them.

Depends on the country and especially the culture. This is also from #ShareAGunViolenceStory

So I think the issue is complex, and that much more than law determines the rate of violent crime. Think about Switzerland where half the people own guns but violent gun crime is very low. Or Chicago, where guns are illegal but murder by gun is epidemic.

Countries With The Highest Rates Of Firearm Related Deaths
Rank Country Firearm-related death rate per 100,000 population per year
1 Honduras 67.18
2 Venezuela 59.13
3 Swaziland 37.16
4 Guatemala 34.1
5 Jamaica 30.72
6 El Salvador 26.77
7 Colombia 25.94
8 Brazil 21.2
9 Panama 15.11
10 Uruguay 11.52
11 United States 10.54
12 Montenegro 8.91
13 Philippines 8.9
14 South Africa 8.3
15 Paraguay 7.76
16 Mexico 7.64
17 Costa Rica 7.5
18 Argentina 6.36
19 Peru 5.53
20 Nicaragua 4.68

If these numbers are recent and correct, it's interesting to note that only 4 countries on this list are not in the American Continent.

Also interesting to note that the MS-13, a gang that's very dear to Democrats, was created in Los Angeles in the late 1980's by a group of Salvadoran refugees. The gang now has a presence across the US, with about 10,000 members.

MS-13 is no longer a group of only Salvadorans. It also includes members who are Honduran, Guatemalan, Mexican and from other areas of Central and South America.
