Tires were rotted as hell. Plus if you slashed someone's tires, it's usually one slash. Not 4 to 1 tire and 0 to the other 3. Her lying got thoroughly taken apart.

In the face of an obviously-developing economic crisis implied by the German population pyramid, Germany has two stark choices, either:

(a) figure out how to give birth to young adults - A LOT OF THEM, or

(b) get them from somewhere else.

Which of those alternatives seems like a better plan?

Option (c) - allow the population to shrink. Readjust profligate government spending, bring in robots. And if the economy shrinks, so will the number of people relying on it. It will balance out.

What will not balance out it irresponsible fiscal policy that depends on an eternally growing population. Already the planet is suffering primarily because of over-population. It annoys the heck out of me when governments say they need more people to maintain their economy. What they really mean is that they need more people to maintain the illusion that the government has been managing money well.

A shrinking population brings a short term pinch because of pensions and promises that cannot be fulfilled. It will be a difficult decade or two. On the other hand, ever increasing populations will result in a global catastrophe for humanity. Take your pick.

In the 50's and 60's an immigrant that wanted to enter the USA legally, needed the following requisites:

Sponsored by an American.
Have a job waiting.
Have a place to live.
Disease free.
Vaccinated.
No criminal history.
Good character.
No Communist or subversive connections.
A bond posted guaranteeing good conduct.
Then get in line an wait your turn ( it could take 2-6 years)

And that was for citizens of a friendly, allied nation.

So why are Liberals making such a big stink about this proposed RAISE act?

If you have your own company, who do you hire... the qualified and hard working or whoever crosses the border illegally looking for free handouts?
