What the hell is a...

COVFEFE ???? (n)

Just random letters accidentally tweeted by POTUS. US media had a conniption fit, even claiming accidental tweets like this could cause a gulp* war. One poor journalist spent sleepless hours worrying and waiting for it to be deleted.

Crazy.. but such is that state of the liberal media.

Good bye USA, the world is moving forward without you. Your leadership will be missed. It's a new world now.

I can't think of another President except maybe Ronald Reagan with as much courage as Donald Trump.
And dementia.

And dementia.

Liberal haters said the same about Reagan... then he made Gorbachev tear down that wall.

As a matter of fact, RR's idea of high-tec shield to protect the USA from nuclear missiles is now protecting our west coast and numerous allies including Israel and South Korea.

Reagan was intelligent and had achievements in spite of his shortcomings, imagine if Gorbachev had to deal with Donald Dump ? The guy is so clueless and his own administration is incompetent.

He seems to thrive on chaos. I disagree about his admin, cabinet members are all serious, qualified people.

Bannon is scary but has an impress list of accomplishments.

Reagan != tRump
Not hating, it's a fact and a sad one. Reagen died of alzheimers dementia - not symptomatic in the early days of his administration.
Watch video of 45 from 10-15 years ago and tell me you don't see a decline in his verbal abilities and overall demeanor. Back then, he had a larger vocabulary and expressed himself much better. Now he keeps falling back to the same phrases and limited vocabulary. Alzheimers is hereditary, his father had it. His cognition is going ะดะพ ัะฒะธะดะฐะฝะธั.

I like current POTUS slightly less then I disliked the last two. I love the way he's making media and politicians look like stooges.

Turns out the same people who called the Tea Party racist, enemies of the state are are really, really horrible people when they don't get their way.

Reagan had some form of that mental condition in office. People noticed there was something about him but just thought it was his folksy cowboy or Hollywood ways or that he was just acting coy to keep the press back.

Looking back it makes sense.

It wasn't Alzheimers, it was the effects of being shot. He was already 70 and it took over a years to recover.

Yes. Its actually kinda stupid. Media, especially social media covered it to such extent that its everywhere you lay your eyes on.
I think that's also responsible for the #Covfefe domain registration frenzy. Almost every extension, even TLD's were registered within 24 hours of that silly tweet. :)

He was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 94.

The would-be assasin shot him in the chest. The bullet went through his lungs. He was not shot in the head.

Jim Brady was shot in the head during the attempt and left permanently disabled, though he could eventually walk and talk again somewhat. HIS death was attributed to complications of the gunshot wound.

There is a documentary about Reagan that includes interviews by his family, friends and WH staff. The man was 70 years old when he was shot. He went into a deep depression and it was a slow recovery.

The stress may have contributed but people who knew him disagree with you.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/when-did-ronald-reagan-have-alzheimers-the-debate-goes-on/

Noting he is not a physician, Brinkley said he found that Reagan's writings "never changed in format or tone" during eight years of daily journal inscriptions. Brinkley found just one Reagan reflection on mental alertness. Toward the end of is second term, the president noted he was unable to identify a once-familiar canyon as he flew over Southern California. Brinkley said Reagan "recognized his mind was not as sharp as it once was" but he did ultimately remember Topanga Canyon.

Brinkley chalks it up to "senioritis" and concludes, "I'm under the impression he did not have any signs of Alzheimer's as president. Until somebody puts up definitive medical evidence, we have to go with that."

Reagan's Alzheimers was diagnosed in '94, after he was out of office - I see nothing questioning whether the man had the disease or not. The only debate is whether or not he had symptoms of it while in office - no way to get a conclusive answer on that without going back in time. And yes, depression can mimic cognitive issues. Reagan was a pretty sharp guy to begin with.
Then there's 45 ... if you compare how he communicates now vs 10-15 years ago (look for interviews) there's a noticable difference and not in a good way.

I never said he didn't have dementia, just not while in office. As you've said, he was diagnosed Alz. 5 years after leaving office.

It was a common meme of the time, Reagan was stupid, had Alz., was too old, etc. That slander was a common theme by media and Hollywood from the beginning to the end of he presidency. They underestimated him, he kicked their asses.

The same type of crap said about Trump now, that's all.
