Not just journalists, but the subject is not Obama - Stop deflecting.

In any case, I'm glad your concerned about our freedom. So am I.

I dont think we see him as a god like Obamas supporters who were too afraid to critique him. And if he doesnt listen to the people who put him there - he's not going to get a second term. Not from this bunch.

I certainly don't. Most of his support were people voting against Hillary. No offence @GILSAN :)

Very, actually. Plenty has been violated already I forsee it going in the wrong direction. Watch out for insiduous little signs that don't seem like a big deal - as people in other countries have found out, "you snooze you lose."

His supporters will take him to task about this much like they are about certain personnel choices he's making for his cabinet. Dont worry - I dont think we see him as a god like Obamas supporters who were too afraid to critique him. And if he doesnt listen to the people who put him there - he's not going to get a second term. Not from this bunch.
Well said. Make America Work Again + Make America Safe Again, Create jobs, Build that Wall and Pi$$ on the MSM. If he does that, which I'm sure he will, it will be good for Americans and for the rest of the world. If he doesn't then I'll be complaining.

Hey, I don't get offended by common sense, however I believe that most of his support was from people who really liked his policies, like: controlling illegal immigration, security, creating jobs, unafraid of the lying MSM, financing his own campaign, not using teleprompters and being Politically Incorrect.

No other Politician had the balls to do and say what he did.

I can't stand listening to DT ramble and avoid it when I can. I voted for him b/c I think he's less bad then HRC.

Now I'm happy with his cabinet picks so far and hopeful he'll roll back some of the crazy rules and bureaucracy of the last two Presidents.

Human Freedom Index released by the Cato Institute today:
The Human Freedom Index presents the state of human freedom in the world based on a broad measure that encompasses personal, civil, and economic freedom. Human freedom is a social concept that recognizes the dignity of individuals and is defined here as negative liberty or the absence of coercive constraint. Because freedom is inherently valuable and plays a role in human progress, it is worth measuring carefully. The Human Freedom Index is a resource that can help to more objectively observe relationships between freedom and other social and economic phenomena, as well as the ways in which the various dimensions of freedom interact with one another.
Link: https://www.cato.org/human-freedom-index

Current US ranking: 23, expected to slide down further of course

Reasons why Trump is better in this regard.
1- We already know that Clinton would do the same, with little to no resistance from the press or congress.
2- There's a chance that Trump may not go this course, whereas there was zero chance that Clinton wouldn't.
3- If Trump goes this way, the press will fight it tooth and nail, and may unintentionally help preserve our freedoms (though their only real goal is to take down Trump). If Clinton did it, the press would rally round her like they did Obama when he did the same.

The one advantage of the media's hate for Republicans is that they constantly question and criticize any Republican who manages to get elected. Once a Democrat is in, the press goes into full praise mode, allowing the pols to do whatever they want.

The DT Ramble doesn't bother me, in fact, for me, he's a welcome change from the slick talking, back-stabbing, corrupt, crooked politicians, that are the norm nowadays. In 3-4 years time, if there have been dramatic changes in the economy, safety, education and general well being of the majority of the population, if Europe starts going to the right politically and stop all the madness going on with all the illegals coming to milk our system with free benefits without contributing a cent, then that's what's important.

The #1 problem we have in Europe at the moment, is with the massive Muslim illegal invasion. Most of us don't need nor do we want these people here. They have only brought problems, violence and created cultural conflicts. And the only parties that will put a stop to this BS are the right wing parties. The rest are just a bunch of PC pussies, that we don't even want to grab.

So... if 2016 was a bad year for Liberals, Progressives and the MSM (Brexit and Trump) then I'm looking forward to 2017 being an even worse year for them, since we have several elections in Europe (France, Holland, Germany, Italy, Austria)

And you posted about that before, because you had a problem with it. So are you consistent in your beliefs? If so, then you have an issue with Trump, right? And the proof is him not having one. He'll be asked about his Foundation and University, about how big a fraud he is. He rather deflect and control.

Then I just saw your big ramble about Hillary and lying, again, if you have an issue with lying, then you would have more of a problem with Trump. But most Trump supporters have blinders on. He can lie, be a fraud, be a pervert, be a sexual assaulter etc, it doesn't matter. He's on Twitter just ranting about CNN and wanting to take away your First Amendment rights. Deflect, deflect

Let's talk about something specific, what Trump said today:

"Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!"

Are Trump supporters ok with that? Lose your citizenship or go to jail for a year? Our own little wannabe dictator. Jailing people for exercising their First Amendment rights. Defend that.

It's bad whoever wants that. But it's Trump who is the President Elect.

But do you agree or disagree with Trump's position on that?

Of course I disagree with it. I've had the same thoughts though.

I would never sponsor a law to actually do that... even though I'm not a HARVARD LAWYER like HRC.

I'm grateful Mike Pence is VP.

She's not the one in the picture right now, Trump is. I'm guessing we're going to have 4 years of deflecting.
