Bless your heart.
I wonder what kept Germany from completely fire bombing the UK into submission.. Could have been Allied air superiority.. could have been luck.
Maybe those merchant seamen who risked their lives to deliver a steady supply of food, guns, ammo, plane, cars, helped a little.
After starting TWO world wars, Germany was prevented by treaty from keeping an offensive army. Defending yourself from the USSR would have been some feat considering y'all were starving.
USSR took EVERY country in east Europe including half of Germany. I can't imagine why the just stopped where the US soldiers were standing.. with tanks, planes and NUCLEAR weapons.
Then some soft hearted American named Marshall came up with a plan to spend 130 billion dollars in Europe to keep people from starving. Everyone kept telling him, they'll just buy beer with it.. but he knew better.
You keep thinking the USSR just tore down that wall b/c they wanted to be friends. Good for you. Just don't get mad and start burning people in ovens again and we're cool.
1. The battle over England was fought 90% by english people. So yes, ENGLISH air superiority kept them from doing this.
2. Good point about the merchant seamen.
3. Later in the coldwar Germany was allowed to have an army again.
4. Good point.
5. This Marshall Plan was not because americans are "soft and kind hearted" but because America needed a strong europe very fast as a sort of "wall" against Russia.
6. Wow. Just wow. The fact that you come up with "Just don't get mad and start burning people in ovens again" just shows what a type of person you are.
Bam, served.
I have a degree in History, d---wad, and can assure you, I am quite well versed on military history over the last two centuries, thank you. I am trying to figure out if you are trolling, or just a prolific, uneducated elitist. If you are a troll, well played, sir. If you are simply uneducated, well, try harder.
I am informed, thank you. I read books on WW1 and WW2. Sure, I never studied this subject, however, you have no proof whatsoever that you studied this. I have come along alot of people that claimed they studied this and this just to find later out that they in fact did not study it.
However, assuming you did study history, this does not make everything you say correct. For example, the debate of wether or not Germany has much fault in starting WW1 is still a hot debate today. Even though all of these historians studied this subject, they all have a different view on this subject hence just because you studied history, doesnt mean that you have to be correct.
Well, you can think of me as a troll, I don't care. You guys are really just confirming the stereotype of the ignorant american. The good thing however is, that I know better and have many american friends that are not as ignorant as you are.
Good day sir.
