You're ignorance of history is hilarious. Aztec, Mayans, Incas, Apache and others were ruthless, territorial warriors. The large societies of south Mexico territory, central and south America all practiced human sacrifice to warrior gods.
The tribes of north American plans and west coast were not pacifist, noble societies. They were overwhelmed.
I'm not making excused for the slaughter that took place after the American revolution, I'm just calling you on your hypocrisy and ignorance.

Most native American tribe still live in poverty. Others are fighting over who is "native" enough for lucrative casino contracts.

That's just hilarious. I can't believe how often I have to read such bullshit. Literally every 2 days someone comes up with this, not only in this forum, but on Reddit, too. But okay, let me start:
1. America was never the greatest influence for peace and freedom in the 19th and 20th century. In WW1, it did very little. Even Australia helped more. In WW2, they did much on the Pacific front, but not on the European Front. The European Front was largely won by Russia. If the D-Day wouldn't have happened, the war would have ended 1-2 years later, but it still would have ended. In Africa, the german army was slowly starving, its supplies running low and no new reinforcements or supplies coming in.
But the most important thing: America financed alot of Coups in South America during the Cold war, they literally overthrew DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED governments and replaced them with DICTATORSHIPS that were positive towards america.
But no, thats not enough. They also fought alot of wars in the later half of the 20th century, most of which were not to bring freedom to the people. Most notably the Gulf wars, especially Iraq, which was INVADED by the US WITHOUT justification. They basically broke UN laws.
2. Now on to the second part:
I don't know if you know it, but Europe has armies, too. And we have to pay for them, too. Just like America. And the combined Army of the EU (which doesn't even include all of Europe) is enough to defeat Russia in an open conflict. But do you know why we can keep an army big enough to deter Russia and yet still have a "socialist paradise"? Because we don't spend such an absurdely large amount of money on the military like you do. We don't need 12 carriers to spread our influence across the globe (btw, thats what Empires usually do. Project their power and influence). We only need our military for defence and international aid (read: Aid, as in not invading other countries, like we do in Mali), not for projecting power overseas.
