You know with all the time some of you spend doing research and posting facts and stats just to prove someone wrong by now you should of put that effort into domaining and you would have a killer portfolio of sales and parking revenue.

Typical Right-Winger, start hitting them with the facts and exposing their lies, then they want to talk sports.

^^ What's wrong? Don't you like to hear the truth? As long as you don't manipulate them, history, numbers and stats don't lie. Trying to blame Whitey for everything may work with Americans, many of whom have become brainwashed to feel White Guilt, but it won't work with me.

I'm proud of being White and can appreciate and admire any race that feels proud of themselves, whatever color they are... except when someone starts blaming Whitey for everything, instead of looking at themselves and admitting that they could be wrong. That's when I fight back. Simple as that

I don't remember anyone attacking "Whitey." Your candidate Trump for who he is, what he says, and what he stands for...but not "Whitey"

I'm reminded of a time, just 70 years ago, when, like today, conservatives were trying to enact voting measures to suppress minority votes. And police brutality sparked military vets to take-up arms against them... in the McMinn County War. It began when a deputy told an elderly Black man trying to vote to Go Home. When the man replied, I always vote here, the deputy punched him in the face with brass knuckles. The man fell back and turned to leave when the deputy pulled his gun and shot him in the back.

To blue boot-lickers, the man disobeyed an officer of the law -so he had it coming. To the veterans in the polling station, who were all White, and who recently returned from fighting the tyranny of Hitler, alongside their Black countrymen. They accused the officer and the local officials of predatory policing, police brutality, political corruption and voter intimidation....

Thanks, that was an interesting read. Though I would be wary of using it as a metaphor, especially since the tyranny in this case was run by a local Democratic Party machine who were very busy fixing elections and harassing veterans, arresting them for minor offences to collect fines from them.

While a black man was ruthlessly shot in the back, the violence following was apparently not about minority voting rights or racism. The Democrats didn't care who voted as long as they could hang on to their corrupt ways. The resentment against the machine had been building for some time.

Interesting that after all the sheriff's deputies were beaten and nearly murdered, after dynamite was used to blow up police cars and nearly blow up the police station (with the police inside) the only charges filed were against the deputy who shot the man in the back. And most interesting was that people were still willing to fight a corrupt government. Nowadays, as long as people have their Pokemon Go, their porn and their drugs, governments can do whatever they want.

Note I use the word Conservative, as at that point in time most Blacks and liberals were Republicans. I always get a kick out of conservatives claiming to be the "Party of Lincoln" when they know full well Lincoln, and the Republican party at the time were 'Progressives' opposing the spread of slavery.

The conservative Democrats were in favor of extending slavery. Of course, Lincoln was assassinated by a racist conservative. Like the deputy in the story who shot the Black guy in the back.

Back in the '80s, I produced several programs on slavery for public TV -so you would lose that bet. Black African inter-tribal 'slavery', where the losing tribe in a battle is integrated into the victorious tribes ranks as brothers and sisters is not in the same category as the inhumane industrial slavery visited on Africa by Islamic Arabs and White Christians.

You are confusing the practices of slave catching Islamic-Arabic Blacks, like the (Barbary Pirate) Berbers, Tuaregs, and Moors, -who raided the heart of Africa for gold, salt and slaves, with Black African customs. But, I imagine all Blacks, like the Arabic black in your graphic, look alike to you. In addition, Islam castrated captured Black African slaves so, with few exceptions, like Hejaz, there really are no sizable Black slave descendant communities in Arabic countries.

Slavery in the Americas was an especially barbaric industry rooted in the rape of women and sale of the children. This industrial form of branded breeding was so effective they banned the import of slaves nearly a century before they alleged to have 'freed the slaves.

Of course, the slaves were never freed in the humane sense of the word. They were released from plantation shacks like Free Range 'animals' are released from a barn. They are not Free. The conditions for their harvesting have simply changed. In this case, the Slave Patrols became the Police, who then took over the task of harvesting free labor from Blacks, through The Black Codes -a book of absurd 'laws' -like walking on the wrong side of the street at the wrong hour, to scoop-up 'free range' Blacks and jail them.

In reality, the only thing that was banned 150 years ago was an individuals' right to own slaves. Slavery merely transitioned into a municipal institution. Converted plantations became the 1st penitentiaries, and a Convict Lease System continued the American tradition of exploiting forced Black labor for White profit.

Again, while I know your heart is not in the right place, thanks for the opportunity to address issues most people prefer to ignore. But, I gotta say... their is no upside for you in this. Not compensating slaves, or their descendants, is not a winning argument. The whole 'they were well fed and housed' mentality is just another reflection of a denial infliction trying to avoid taking responsibility for a history of slavery.

It also puts the US on the wrong side of history. The only reason the USA is not paying for slavery now is because no country can hold it accountable. But, just as the US can use its might to arrest brutal dictators, drug kingpins, war criminals, etc., and charge them with Crimes Against Humanity, including child slavery, there are civilizations in this Big Black Universe more than capable of holding the US accountable for its Crimes Against Humanity and/or Crimes Against The Universe.

I write this not from a place of hate, but of love... as I Love White folks! And the full spectrum of humanity. But an 'advanced civilization' must actually be an advanced civilization if it expects to make CONTACT with Advanced Civilizations. Likewise, cosmic apes attract cosmic apes.

Note I use the word Conservative

Oh, I did note that. Right away. It's brilliantly disingenuous, isn't it? 98% of the people who read it used that way will read it as "Republican" without a second thought. So you have neatly handed Democratic crimes over to the Republicans. The 2% who call you on it will get that tidy, but highly subjective and highly debatable, explanation you just gave. I don't imagine too many of that 2% will buy the explanation, but it's enough of a smokescreen to cloud the issue over with endless debate.

An honest way to write about that revolt is to call the criminal politicians either Democrats or to simply not refer to their political affiliation. Calling them "conservative" makes all kinds of assumptions about their political beliefs that you simply can't know without extensive study. The only reason to insert the word "conservative" that I can think of is to tar present day conservatives. Sorry, but that's the way I read it.
