Yes - 10 - 12 % of our population is Muslim - Turks. But they have nothing in common with the muslims in Syria, Afghanistan, Molenbeeck and other ghettos around Europe. They live here for hundreds of years. They are fully integrated (actually we are not even talking about integration). They are people like me and citizens like me. They are really, really hardworking people. They rarely go to mosque and Christians and Muslims are celebrating religious fests together. They don't rape women and children. They are not sexual animals. Women are not dressed like penguins and the man are not beating them for fun. They are so much different even from the turks living in Turkey. Actually - if you ask them about the economic muslim migrants that are taking over Europe - they will defend Bulgaria, Europe and our values too.
I know what happened in the late 80s and it is a shame and big mistake of the communist leaders of the then communist Bulgaria. However - we, the people of Bulgaria have nothing to be ashamed of, because the people were against this. And we have no feeling of guilt like the Germans do for their nazi period.
The Bulgarian people are the most tolerant people of the world. We were the only ones together with Denmark, that save our 50 000 Jewish population when Hitler wanted to send them to the concentration camps. The people, the society saved them, although the government was ready to give up on them.

We welcomed many Armenian refugees during the turkish genocide over them, and they take refuge here during Ottoman massacres. We welcomed more than 20 000 then. And they are still here and contribute to our society.
So - let me repeat. We are against these different people coming here with their radical islam. They are violent and lazy. They don't want to integrate. They don't respect our laws, our values, our beliefs, our civilization. They don't respect women. They don't want to work. They are from a different galaxy. And they are
not running from a war and there are millions of them waiting....
We are tolerant, peaceful nation - but we will do everything possible to defend our nation, our country, our people, our families from the migrants. We have the bad, bad , bad example of other countries. We are not Germany. We are not France. We are not Belgium. We will not surrender our Christian beliefs and heritage. We will not give our land and freedoms to the islamic fundamentalists. We will not betray our grandfathers and our children.
