As I said earlier, asylum is governed by international treaties. The States cannot just ignore international law, even though they are not very motivated to help refugees (with a few exceptions).
If I understand you correctly, we should do nothing to help refugees. Personally I have a problem with that, if we are indifferent to the plight of refugees and somebody asks what makes us different than Daesh for example, I don't know what the answer should be ?
Answer: they are Muslims and we are Christians ?
You cannot shut the door on migrants or refugees, while at the same time allowing your own people to emigrate in droves to other countries, including poor countries. They are not even fleeing persecution. It's not rational. Keep your own people at home if you don't like migrants. Of course this would mean trampling on human rights and freedom.
Concerning Sweden, the figures are high because the scope of the law on rape has changed and is broader now, even in the way incidents are accounted. The figures are very misleading when comparing apples to oranges. Each country has its own definition of rape.

Personally I find the figures to be still abnormally 'low'. I am certain that the prevalence of rape is higher in Iceland for example.

No Sweden is not Baghdad.
Always the same never-ending fear-mongering: refugees are going to slit our throat, rape us, steal our jobs, impose sharia upon us yet they are fleeing Islamic extremism. Go figure.
Note that the problems is always the Muslims and only the Muslims. The homegrown racists, the fascists, the people like Brevik are depicted as 'extremists', but not as terrorists. In order to earn the terrorist label you have to be
Muslim it seems. The semantics are strange but telling.
You always make dramatic posts, as if you were reporting from the frontline in Afghanistan (or Israel) but no, you don't live in the ghetto. You live on the cozy, peaceful island of Madeira where there are no Muslims. Well I have been to Madeira 4 years ago and I didn't see a visible, prominent Muslim presence. In fact I'm beginning to think you haven't met a lot of Muslims in your whole life. All you
think you know, comes from dubious ultra rightist disinformation sources, that you are willing to trust like gospel.
Living on a small island can nurture a siege mentality it seems
When you have instilled fear in people they stop thinking rationally. In fact they don't think at all.
It's the way governments rule the 'sheeple', and it really works.
Fear fear fear.
