Will Scotland be in the EU or have to reapply? Unknown at this point.

If they need to apply will they switch from the pound? They say no but they will have to.

Are they aware of the age and growth of their population and implications for maintaining pension fundings?
Partially.

Are they going to be on the hook for oil cleanup? Yes.

Is being Scottish iimportant? Of course but at what cost.

Unfortunately separatist tendencies appear to be driven mostly by economic reasons. This is not always a good calculation in the long term when you have an aging population, and the burden of pensions is set to become more difficult to bear once the national solidarity scheme is no longer in play.

There are approximately 1.6 BILLION muslims the world. I don't see how you can lay the blame at their feet. It doesn't even begin to make sense. Anders Breivik was a Christian, another religion of peace?

You mean those 1.6 billion that go on a massive global uproar over some cartoons of Mohamed, or when someone burns a Koran, or of a cheap Hollywood film.

Where are all those peace loving 1.6 billion when it comes to all the barbarism their more radical followers are committing? I don't see them protesting, do you?

Why do ISIS call it an Islamic State? Actually they will probably call it the "100% Islamic State" once they slaughter and behead all the Infidels. I wonder where they get all these barbaric ideas from? What holy book do they read from?

It's amazing how lightening fast the Liberals come to the defense of Islam every time I criticize the Religion of Peace. I'm surprised Verbster hasn't given us his defense yet. I suppose he's probably busy on the internet looking for a Video of the Palin family brawl. I'm sure he'll be here soon, telling us how bad Christians are... as well.

Liberal Loonies are always trying to compare Christians and Muslims. There simply is no comparison possible. The balance of violence is pending so heavily towards the religion of peace, that it becomes a joke.

Now Obama also finaly admits that Assad is defending Christians, which is interesting considering that he supported the so called "rebels" that have been systematicly killing christians and destrying churches. As far as the whole "its about islam" discussion. Lets just take a look at Syria , Assad is Musilum as are most of the people of Syria (a secular state, not an Islamic one, with many religions). Who are they fighting? ISIS and the so called "rebels" aka al-nursa et all, hell even Hezbolla is fighting against these guys, so you see you can not paint one picture of Islam or Musliums. Where was the outrage from american conservative christians when christians were being hunted down and killed in Syria the last few years? Where is the outrage when Saudi Arabia beheads people on a regular basis? For example there were some beheaded this year for bringing weed into Saudi Arabia, bring weed in, get your head chopped off, and SA is an "ally" and suppost to join with the USA to fight against ISIS HA, HA, HA. Qutar and SA support the "rebels" in Syria as does the USA, were did ISIS start again? Where is their HQ?

Why should they ? Are you protesting every time a Christian does something bad, even in the name of religion ?
No, you hardly feel the need to distance yourself from those individuals, because you don't think they actually share the same religion or values as you in the first place.

I think his point was that you just don't see Christian theocracies sprouting up throughout the world, with their primary focus seemingly on the suppression/elimination of other religions at the point of a gun or the edge of a machete.

There are Islamic based theocracies that could be doing a lot more to suppress these monsters, but the extremists serve a function for them. The terrorists provide deniability. Arab nations can arm terrorists/extremists, knowing full well that they will assault Israel, the United States, or one of our allies - and that the supporting nations will not be held accountable. The United States then ends up having to fight these guys without a specific territory to conquer.

Giving the U.S. a specific geographical target to conquer, i.e. the 'Islamic State' is a stupid move on their part, they cannot win a stand up, toe to toe fight.

You seem to equate secular with 'safe'. I seem to recall an alliance going into all of those countries, to remove tyrants. So by 'USA' you mean 'a large portion of the world'.
