I was listening to the Watertown capture on scanner. There was one live stream which wasn't shut down.

The news media - ALL of them - should be ashamed of themselves. At one point 2 were saying he was definitely dead and 3 were saying he was definitely alive. Made me nostalgic for a time when "news reporting" didn't mean "take a wild guess and broadcast it anyway "

Never mind timeliness - at one point, AP's "breaking news" was about an hour behind Twitter. Oh and it looked like CNN was just following Anon's feed (btw they did an AWESOME job reporting) and parroting it back.

Pathetic.

I see what you're getting at, but if three out of the five got it right, why lump them together with the two that didn't and say they should be ashamed? (Out of curiosity, which two got it wrong?)

It will end when people stop clamoring for real time updates. Reporting doesnt work in real time...

Sorry - don't remember. But I do know that at the time there was no official statement from law enforcement and even on scanner for a while they said he was moving and then a little later not moving, so it seemed like nobody knew for sure at that point. There was a lot of speculation coming out of ALL the media since the bombings - it seemed like everyone wanted to be first to break a big story and was willing to risk bad information to do it.

If the news guys were smart they would have had someone monitoring the scanner stream like the rest of us voyeuristic ghouls.

Speaking of which, now that this is over, we should all chip in and buy their law enforcement some scrambler technology ...

The DOE loan program that funded Solyndra was actually started by President Bush in 2005. It was intended to provide government support for "innovative technologies."

It's really irrelevant, I have no doubt there are worthy innovative technogies out there which deserve a federal loan guarantee... Solyndra was NOT one of them

The loan guarantee for Solyndra was DENIED under the Bush Administration and APPROVED by the Obama administration, that is undeniable fact..

Could the approval of that loan guarantee have any relation to the fact that wealthy donors who had direct ties to Solyndra contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Obama's 29998 campaign?, Undoubtedly.

This whole Solyndra thing is interesting. However both parties have plenty of coruption, favors and other money "dontated" to campaigns. So its not just an Obama, Bush, Republican or Democrat issue.

Your 100% correct on that.. But to the tune of 1/2 Billion dollars to the taxpayer? I dont think the magnitude of corruption has ever been higher... And that's just one company that went bankrupt,

Let's add these up to;

The complete list of faltering or bankrupt green-energy companies:

SpectraWatt ($500,000)*

Bold and in your face corruption, where Obama dares Republicans to take him on.. Just look at how Obama bocked/delayed Eric Holders contempt charge over Fast and Furious, all by executive order..

He thinks he's above Congress, but wait until Republicans take over the Senate in 2014 as many predict they will.. and the Senate Judiciary is ruled by Republicans, it's going to open up a whole can of worms Obama does NOT want opened.. Wait and see.

"yea thats a lot of "green" compaines that went bankrupt. So they all had loans that were rubberstamped by Obama?"

I checked some random companies on that list. Some went bankrupt already, some might go bankrupt. Some are actually doing good, looking good. I don't think that list was checked out thoroughly. So there are successes as well. Other companies invested in those companies as well, saw Google mentioned. So they thought there was potential there, as well as many others who invested. You win some, you lose some. When you win tho, it'll pay many times over.

Once again, politicians decide against the will of the people

Just curious - did you say the same thing after the Senate defeated wider background checks for gun buyers, which were supported by 90% of Americans?

I suggest you go back and read what I said and then come back and report.

You must have gotten a "thrill up your leg" (like Chris Mathews) with this news.

Once again, politicians decide against the will of the people.

Next goal: Legalize polygamy

Of course I think it's great Gilsan. Anytime freedom and rights win, is a good thing.

And again, you're not up to date on the will of the people:

"Recent polls have consistently shown a large majority (55%-63%) of the French people in support of allowing same-sex marriage."

Read that a few times. The vote was inline with what the people supported. Same with recent New Zealand polls and as you know, from earlier posts, same with the polls here in the United States.

You don't mention that the polls show that the majority of French people oppose adoption by same-sex couples, which they legalized.

Next step; Legalize polygamy, followed by legalizing pedophile relations. Do you have the most recent polls on these yet?

You always do that, because you know you're void of any good argument. This is about gay marriage, not polygamy, not pedophile relations. For you to bring up pedophile is pretty pathetic for all the obvious reasons. That has zero to do with this topic, zero.

"Time will prove me right. That's all I have to say"

No, it won't.

Lefties, Liberals or Progressives? I know JBLions and others like to call themselves Progressive.... but, is there a diference?

Pat Condell will explain it, brilliantly. B-)

Not sure what that has to do with the topic at hand, would be nice to see you form your own views but you've always liked other people talking for you, controlling you. Your man, Bloomberg, now wants to up the cigarette buying age to 21. So you can't drink or smoke till you're 21, but can go fight wars, kill or be killed.

Oh, by the way, your buddy, Pat Condell

"I support gay marriage"

He's pretty much anti-all religions (since he's an athiest) and some of their backwards beliefs, including yours.
