Lefties, Liberals or Progressives?

I have never met a single person in my entire life who referred to themselves as progressive.

It's really irrelevant, I have no doubt there are worthy innovative technogies out there which deserve a federal loan guarantee.

I don't believe in federal loan guarantees at all.

Does that make me conservative or liberal? or progressive?

Oh, by the way, your buddy, Pat Condell

"I support gay marriage"

https://twitter.com/patcondell/status/264375706732077056

He's pretty much anti-all religions (since he's an athiest) and some of their backwards beliefs, including yours.
I'm quite aware of what Pat Condell is and it doesn't bother me one iota, but to me, one of the most important things is what he isn't. He's NOT a hypocrite like the majority of Liberals. And even though he's an atheist he is especially critical of the religion of peace that the liberals are trying so desperately to defend.

JB Lions loves to rub it in how progressive he is and how backwards anyone who doesn't agree with him is. He even gets an orgasm when another country legalizes gay marriage

Your man, Bloomberg, now wants to up the cigarette buying age to 21. So you can't drink or smoke till you're 21, but can go fight wars, kill or be killed.

I thought Bloomberg was your guy?

In case you don't know, conservatives are for less government, allowing individuals to make their own decisions, Unlike progressives who promote regulating almost every aspect of peoples lives.

---------- Post added at 02:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:05 AM ----------

yea thats a lot of "green" compaines that went bankrupt. So they all had loans that were rubberstamped by Obama?

YES, It all came out of the $183 BILLION dollar Stimulus in 2009, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which didn't do squat in creating jobs in the private sector.

What it did do is grow the size of Government, Like that's what we needed when our National Debt was $11 TRILLION that year, and now approaching $17 TRILLION this year.

This kind of generalized, inaccurate labeling of voting individuals does nothing but contribute to making people think they must choose an us or them type of attitude.

However, I am curious as to what part of government you would cut, especially in an amount that would matter. Do you think individual states can be self-sufficient and still maintain comprehensive interstate interactions?

No, Gilsan is actually the Bloomberg fan. You missed some conversation when you were at the other board. You stopped posting here after Romney lost. We were talking about the soda ban, Gilsan is all for it. I'm for freedom, progress.

"Yes I'm OK with NY Mayor Bloomberg trying to ban big sodas as it can only be beneficial for obese people, just like I'm fine with banning smoking from public places for health reasons, even though I'm no longer a smoker. But even when I was a smoker I agreed to it."

http://www.namepros.com/4467688-post1178.html

And, I have to point out the whole conservatives are for less government, is nonsense, always has been. When it comes to social issues, they're all up in your business. It's the conservatives, not liberals, who want to take women's rights away (abortion) and keep others from having rights (gay marriage). So conservatives are for more government.

As far as regulation, it seems Republicans aren't a fan of that. We don't need so much where it stifles business but we do need some common sense regulation. Ask Perry from Texas:

"Despite West explosion, Rick Perry sticks to his anti-regulatory schtick"

http://dallasmorningviewsblog.dalla...y-sticks-to-his-anti-regulatory-schtick.html/

That same Mr. Perry who wanted to secede, who voted against Sandy relief - "took less than 24 hours to ask President Obama for moneyโ€”from the federal government." after the plant explosion in Texas.

Most ideologies can't answer this question because there is no egalitarian starting point.

The prevailing view of the masses is "I'm alright jack" and that's just good enough for most people. Anything else would just be socialism.

Credit reset anyone?

Agreeing on one thing doesn't make me a fan of all his policies. Remember that I also agreed with Michele Obama trying to implement healthy food for school kids. And an even bigger surprise is that I've actually agreed with you JB Lions, on one or two occasions. D-: Yes I know it's shocking but it's true. :O

So don't try to twist things around by making mountains out of molehills.

What I'd like to see banned are the Big Food companies that are feeding people useless, unhealthy junk food that has only helped create a country full of very obese and unhealthy people that are a burden on themselves, their family and society as a whole.

Obese people bring no benefits to this world except for helping create more and more profits for Big Food and Big Pharmaceuticals. Simple as that.

My apologies to obese people, but the fact is that you are mostly NOT to blame. It's the crap they feed that's to blame. Big Food Companies should be forced by law to make healthy food. If they don't do it, put the CEO's and people in charge in prison and feed them only crap food for a few years to see if they like it.

"Obese people bring no benefits to this world except for helping create more and more profits for Big Food and Big Pharmaceuticals. Simple as that."

Same with old people such as yourself. There's big money in medicine, retirement homes etc. Drain on society. What can we do about that?

"My apologies to obese people, but the fact is that you are mostly NOT to blame."

That's some bs as well. You decide what you eat, period. The year is 2013. Information is out there. I'm a big believer in personal responsibility. You're a big believer in blaming somebody else.

"Companies should be forced by law to make healthy food."

And also a big believer in government telling people what they can and cannot eat.

Your views are very Anti-Freedom. Can't marry who you want, can't eat what you want etc.

My views are far superior to the brainwashed crap that's populating the few brain cells you may have left. Thanks to Liberals like yourself everything is going down the crap hole. You people are really blind. No wonder IowaDawg doesn't bother arguing with idiots like you. A waste of f--king time.

I doubt he agrees with you either. I'm sure he likes having the choice of what to eat and doesn't think the government should get involved in that. I'm sure he believes in personal responsibility.

You need Mr. Government to do that for you. That's not a superior mind, that's a slave mind.

This is actually a common trait among liberals, who tend to be very intolerant of others opinions, more so than conservatives.
