Freedom isn't always pretty and all sides have their idiots.

I believe that the people should not have booed but engaged her into a debate to discuss the relative merits of her choice.

She apparently has not been brainwashed by the muppets yet - but really, there's booing and there's booing.

I was just reading about what happens if it winds up being 269 - 269 in the Electoral College. I figure just go to popular vote, which it should be in the first place but no - "then the House of Representatives chooses a president from among the top three vote-getters. This would be done by the newly-elected House, not the current one."

"Why doesn’t the nationwide popular vote total determine who the president is?

Because voters don’t vote directly for a presidential candidate; they vote for a party-chosen slate of electors in each state who, in turn, actually chose the president."

Yep, couldn't agree with you more. It's simple to implement (50% + 1 of the total vote) and it would give all States the equal importance that they deserve, instead of Ohio having such a disproportionate amount of importance in relation to the other States.

If it ends up on 269-269 it's going to create a lot of confusion and many upset people

Don't think anything new will come out from now until the election, except one more jobs report on November 2, few days before election. Will it go back over 8, will it continue the downward trend.

Gangnam - I hope to god it's like the Macarena and disappears soon.

Which candidate is going to do the most to get the best Bacon price over the next term ?
That's who should be voted in.

There's some underlying politics in that - it's not as throwaway a statement as it appears.

I was under the impression that it was IowaDawg who was more worried about the price of Bacon

Do you know anything about what was described in the video? Or just find the misleading concept amusing?

This is more an indictment of AUMF than anything.. The rest of the world is finally rejecting the failed concept of a global war on terror.

You obviously can't read a chart? It's 7.8%. That's the number used. It's the number used by Romney in his speeches, his ads, his closing remarks. It's the number used by everybody when speaking of the Unemployment Rate. 8.1, 8.1, 8.1 all over the place. Then it dropped. For those on the right who don't understand simple elementary math 7.8 < 10. So when it drops, that's a good thing.

So in RaiderGirls' eyes, Unemployment going down, stock market up, GDP up, housing market going back up = crumbling economy, lol. I understand that was your main line of attack, problem is it just isn't true, no matter how many times you try to repeat/repost those lies.

So because you don't know the difference between a U-3 Unemployment rate and a U-6, you resort to calling me a liar? LOL.

Everyone knows the REAL (U-6)unemployment is 14.7%, which INCLUDES;

1. "Marginally attached workers" - people who are not actively looking for work, but who have indicated that they want a job and have looked for work (without success) sometime in the past 12 months. This class also includes "discouraged workers" who have completely given up on finding a job because they feel that they just won't find one.

2. People who are looking for full-time work but have to settle on a part-time job due to economic reasons. This means that they want full-time work, but can't find it.

The U-3 (most commonly used) unemployment rate of 7.8% does NOT include the above, the U-3 is a measurement of 4 weeks of unemployment of the previous month.

I guess when you have a Government that extends unemployment benefits year after year and REMOVES the requirement to look for work, what motivation is there to look for work right?

Are we better off than 4 years ago, are things getting better now from when Obama took office?

I'm glad you asked, by all indications things have clearly gotten worse, the most obvious are;

The National Debt in October 2008 was $10.5 Trillion
The National Debt in October 2012 is now $16.2 Trillion

National average price for a gallon of gas in October 2008;, about a $1.80
National average price for a gallon of gas in October 2012;, about a $4.21

National Unemployment rate (U-3) in October 2008; 6.5
National Unemployment rate (U-3) in October 2012; 7.8

Total number of Americans unemployed in 2008; 14 Million
Total number of Americans unemployed today in 2012; Over 22 Million... (OH, but that cant be, Obama created 5 Million private sector jobs LMAO!)

Number of Americans on Food Stamps in Dec. 2008; 31.5 Million
Number of Americans on Food Stamps in Sept. 2012; 47 Million

Not to mention slow GDP growth, higher FOOD costs, Higher energy costs and a far less optimistic future.

"So because you don't know the difference between a U-3 Unemployment rate and a U-6, you resort to calling me a liar? LOL."

I do and I actually linked to the government site before with the different rates. That's nothing new. And they still use the Unemployment Rate I talked about, you know the one Romney went on and on about. It's 7.8%.

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000 Can you read that chart?

The other stuff has been gone over to death. You must have missed all those charts?

Gas price, more to do with the global market than the president. And it's actually been going down lately.

Your weak food stamps argument:

Number of Americans on Food Stamps in Dec. 2008; 31.5 Million
Number of Americans on Food Stamps in Sept. 2012; 47 Million

It's funny you started in Dec 2008 before Obama was even sworn in.

It's also curious you left out the Bush years. Why is that? Is it because it would give a fuller picture? Or did Fox News forget to supply that for you?

It was like 18 million on food stamps when Bush went in office, 32 million when he left. That's 14 million more.

"And they show that under President George W. Bush the number of recipients rose by nearly 14.7 million. Nothing before comes close to that."
Ouch, there's your food stamp president right there.

Ok, elementary school math time. What direction is that going in? A good one or a bad one? Then he handed the mess off to Obama, still sliding. But if you look at the last year, it's actually leveling off.

Here's something else you can sleep on. Every electoral map out there has Obama winning.

I do and I actually linked to the government site before with the different rates.

Then why claim I'm lying if you knew of the different rates and that 14.7% was one of them for the month of September? It could be only one of two things; You either DIDN'T know OR your a Liar yourself.

Gas price, more to do with the global market than the president.

Yep, let's blame the global market and ignore what Obama did or could of done to bring down the price of gas. I often wonder how much more were paying at the pump when Obama closed down the Gulf, And what 4 years of tightened regulations against the oil companies cost us, And the failure of the Obama administration to approve oil drilling permits on Federal land that caused drastic decreases in oil production..
Yeah, it's all about the "Global Market" right?

It's also curious you left out the Bush years.

Why would I include Bush? I've never been a supporter of Bush on fiscal policy, didn't support him adding to the debt, didn't support TARP, didn't support the auto bailouts..

And Bush is NOT Romney, unless you have proof he was cloned from GW's DNA.

Seriously, WHY in the hell did we elect Barack Obama? Didn't we elect him to IMPROVE the economy? All you Liberals did for 8 years is complain about Bush, if it wasn't the wars it was the economy, and here you are trying to defend 4 years of over TWICE the damage that Bush did, can you explain that?.

You cant respond to the FACTS "Are we better off than 4 years" so instead you try to detract from it and want to go back 12 years to re-visit 8 years of Bush.. Seriously, where's the intellectual honesty?

Here's something else you can sleep on. Every electoral map out there has Obama winning.

On October 26th 1980, Gallup had Jimmy Carter up 47 to Ronald Reagan 39. And Reagan had the biggest landslide victory in history, It was a case of VOTER TURNOUT, Dems were less than enthused due to the state of the economy and stayed home while Repubs were energized, So I don't think it's going to be as close as some predict.

Interview of Obama Supporters Who Slam "Romney" Policies, Then Find Out They’re Actually Obama’s :sold:  :sold:

We see a lot of people and news organizations doing this, Howard Stern did it in 2008 and now in 2012, And it's Obama supporters who are the target, Why? I think the reason is many Obama supporters are simply politically illiterate, YES, "idiots" who are in love with the "Man" but are totally CLUELESS of his ideology, policies and the damage he's done to the country in the last 4 years... They don't READ, don't follow the news, don't have a clue what's going on in the world, and when Voting time comes along they recklessly pull the lever.

And for the informed Obama supporters, these are usually liberals, diehard Democrats and feminists with a progressive ideology, If none of the above apply, then their more than likely a public employee looking out for #1.
