As far as China:
"Meanwhile, U.S. exports to China have increased 45 percent during Obamaโ€™s first three years in office."

You forgot to mention the other side of the coin; US imports from China that are always going up.

Also get a kick of watching Gilsan flip flop all over the place, going from this in the Ron Paul thread:

"Could this (ignoring Ron Paul) be due to to the fact that the MSM is controlled by Jews and they don't like the fact that Ron Paul has said the he would stop Foreign aid to Israel and the rest of the world."

http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/743640-ron-paul-why-he-being-ignored.html

to this

"I will always be on Israel's side, always."

Flip flopped from Ron Paul and his views, to Romney and his different views.
These are 2 different subjects. Apples and oranges. For you it's flip flopping, For me its NOT.

You are exactly like the Liberal Media. You cherry pick information, just like the link to the LA Times a few posts back, that only mentioned info that would benefit Obama, but failed to mention how the lady was highly pissed off Obama, Hillary, Joe Biden, Susan Rice who lied to her about her dead son's death in Benghazi.

You don't tell both sides of the story, making you a biased and brainwashed person, just like the MSM. There is no salvation for you except to wait and let you (maybe) grow out of that well known disease called Liberalism.

That's nothing new, they've always gone up, stats starting in 85 - http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5700.html

https://www.uschina.org/statistics/tradetable.html

Look under the years Obama is in office the % change*, it's greater each year when you compare exports to imports, not so under Bush.

And the fact that exports have increased 45% under Obama, remains.

And you have flip flopped on your views, that's pretty clear, but it's like you channeling Romney now and will just lie about it.

Something a little different from what we're currently talking about but something I mentioned earlier in the thread, about the Right and how they're going to need to reinvent themselves, get out of the grasp of the Christian Right, soon. When I said more and more people consider themselves non-religious:

"The number of Americans who do not identify with any religion continues to grow at a rapid pace. One-fifth of the U.S. public โ€“ and a third of adults under 30 โ€“ are religiously unaffiliated today, the highest percentages ever in Pew Research Center polling."

http://www.pewforum.org/Unaffiliated/nones-on-the-rise.aspx

That number is just going to continue to get higher, as people evolve.

The main reason that US exports are gradually increasing to China is because the Chinese currency, the yuan has appreciated by nearly 8% against the dollar since the Chinese government allowed it to begin rising again in 2010. It is up about 24% against the dollar since 2005.

You make it sound as if being Christian is bad and being a non believer is good or as you say "evolved".

For me that trend is very disturbing. Family values are being lost, respect and responsibility amongst youngsters is getting eroded really fast. Just watch MTV for a few minutes and you (well maybe not you JB) can see what I'm talking about. Standards are being lowered to accommodate certain sections of the population. It just shows that America is slowly going down the shit hole.

Here's one of my favorite videos that shows how "evolved" some youngsters have become.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww"]Miss Teen USA 2007 - South Carolina answers a question - YouTube[/ame]

The next Video is about stupid answers by people of all ages. Now we all know that there are dumb people all over the world, but Americans do take the cake when it comes to their lack of knowledge about the rest of the world.

I know that from personal experience, as I lived in California for 7 years, in the 70's

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5I4oY7zj-w"]stupid americans Asked simple questions but you will be surprised by some of the answers - YouTube[/ame]

Excellent VP debate. I would give it a DRAW.
Biden interrupted a lot and looked down on Ryan and complained various times about equal time (Biden had 1m 20 sec more time than Ryan) The youngster did very well against the old fox.

What makes you think Christianity determines family values? Do you actually know anything about Christianity or any religions? Do you really think you must believe in a Christian God to be a good parent? Do you think you must be a Christian to teach your children about honesty, charity, integrity, respect and not doing harm? To be humble and tolerant?

Watch MTV? Good Grief. That's like saying Christians who speak in Tongues or handle snakes are signs that Christianity is in the shitter.

Who are you, a person who constantly calls people names and tells them to stick it, to talk about eroding respect?

Standards are being lowered to accommodate "certain sections of the population"? Why not grow a couple and say what you really mean?

And you think so highly of yourself and so knowledgeable, and so in tune with the complexities of the most influential country on the planet that you can say it's going down the shit hole?

Gilsan, do you still live at home? Seriously.

All too often Standards are being lowered by Christian Republicans; especially science standards -like teaching creationism alongside evolution. Lowering the standard of proof to accommodate ones faith is not science. Is this the "certain sections of the population" your talking about?

Just Questions:

1) What is everyone's obsession with Israel?
2) What is "Israel's side" (GILSAN)?

I don't, honestly, understand why the Foreign Policy of the US is so dictated by one small country that is 153rd biggest in the world.

Meanwhile we more or less ignore Japan, most of Europe (except we mention Germany and the war occasionally), Russia, we do mention China, and nothing about the country that is the number one provider of oil to the US and SECOND biggest country in the world by mass... next to nothing about Mexico (except the border) and Brazil....

Countries that have a huge impact on the US and what?

Based on size we should spend more time talking about the drug policy of Portugal (111th) as something of interest.

No one ever talks about Netanyahu or what he represents or the challenges of US-Israel-Middle East relations with him in the fold. It's very strange. Everyone talks about the Muslim Brotherhood like they have access to their manifesto but ignores Netanyahu who has speeches TRANSCRIBED that he gives to the UN?!

I'm not picking sides. I'm not pro/anti Israel. I'm just curious as to why coverage seems so one sided and shallow but represents something that people think is hugely important for some reason.

I don't get it.

Obama played golf, oh nooooooo, I think he might have went out on a date with his wife, watched football, even ate dinner, shocking news...... just like any other president.

Or spending the day with his political advisors on how to cover up all the LIES regarding the terrorist attack on our embassy, the first Terrorist attack against the US since 911.. Or maybe he was planning another taping of "The View" instead of meeting with the Israeli prime minister to discuss Iran's Nuclear advancement and the threat it poses to Israel, Not important right?

OR maybe he spent the day with DNC chairman Debbie Blabbeman Schultz on how to run away from his own record and paint Mitt Romney as an evil money grabbing villain who doesn't care about anyone unless their RICH.. Who knows, while our economy is crumbling before our eyes with 14.7% unemployment rate, slow growth and record high DEBT, maybe well see another Sesame Street commercial with "Big Bird".. Yeah, that should get our economy back on track.

Just what we need to solve our nations problems, Big Bird and a disrespectful clown representing the office of Vice President.

So, let's see how that works. The economy sucks under Obama for four years, but that is the aftereffects of Bush. But exports under Obama increase, and that is NOT because of Bush. Lol, at least you are consistent with your inconsistencies.

That kind of goes both ways doesn't it? You guys are blaming Obama, he's only been in there 3 years and a half years and that's ok but 8 years of Bush, not his fault?

As far as under Obama, yes, we can blame Bush for the first few years but those first years are after affects, it takes awhile for your own polices to take affect. And now you're seeing those results.

Or spending the day with his political advisors on how to cover up all the LIES regarding the terrorist attack on our embassy, the first Terrorist attack against the US since 911.. You obviously can't read a chart? It's 7.8%. That's the number used. It's the number used by Romney in his speeches, his ads, his closing remarks. It's the number used by everybody when speaking of the Unemployment Rate. 8.1, 8.1, 8.1 all over the place. Then it dropped. For those on the right who don't understand simple elementary math 7.8 < 10. So when it drops, that's a good thing.

So in RaiderGirls' eyes, Unemployment going down, stock market up, GDP up, housing market going back up = crumbling economy, lol. I understand that was your main line of attack, problem is it just isn't true, no matter how many times you try to repeat/repost those lies.

RaiderGirl, Gilsan, RogueWriter, I want to get this in public from you guys:

Are we better off than 4 years ago, are things getting better now from when Obama took office?

I would love to hear you guys actually say that a recovery is worse that a recession. Then after that, how water is dry or 2 > 9, or some other crazy stuff.

I've always said Bush spent too much money, so don't be putting words in my mouth, please. But, thanks for admitting that Bush helped to increase exports, nice to see you are coming around.

Seriously, I'm going to have to go check out a map, DU.... I don't recall Israel outnumbering and surrounding other mideastern nations.

I certainly hope Israel poses a threat to Iran, someone ought to. :imho:

Sucks is a state.
Increases is a direction.
Not mutually exclusive.

Not sure what anyone is saying anyway. Dont know if a President has all that influence in the end.

The biggest change in the last few years is that the RNC has lost control of their party by allowing people to run as Republicans when theyre not party line republicans.

Makes for a lot of stalemate when your leaders arent in charge anymore.

It looks like the whole lybia attack could have been from Lybian patriots. That means that Obama sponsored the overthrow of Gadaffi with forgien troops and then -woops- some group that didnt think that was cool killed the ambasador. -Well at least he got control of the country and we dont have a currncy backed up with gold- - is that "weak"?-

The use of "malarkey" is a highlight of all debates so far.

Yea, verily. And so it shall be written and come to pass that a Republican true believer, a despiser and exposer of the great lies of science shall wrest control and lead the heathen House Science Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight. He shall speak naught the word of science, but only the purity of the fair and balanced biblical truth. Be it said that this true disciple shall rise up in all his glory and smite the falsehoods of the non-believers and cast them down into the pit of hell whence they came. And, lo and behold, this great believer who heralds the End Of Days and the Second Coming shall be known to his followers as Congressman Paul Broun. And He shall speak the Lord's truth and not stray from the path of righteousness, no matter the consequences or the temptations of science. --Previously Unknown Gospel Recently discovered in the Sacred Tomb of Mounted Deer Heads, Chapter1, Verse 1.

(Definition of symbolism: The deer appear to be intently watching Congressman Broun deliver his sermon.)

Which is better, recession or recovery?

And a hushed silence fell across the room. Yet, in silence they speak volumes.

But "the recovery is not fast enough", say Republicans, in one breath; as they brag that not a single Repub voted in favor of President's Recovery Act, in another.

The recovery is not fast enough, cry Repubs who set a record for the number of filibusters. And blocked a record number of Presidential appointments.

Republicans have done everything they can to stop President Obama from doing his job. They did everything they could to keep the country in a recession, just so they could "beat Obama".

But the recovery is happening in spite of them, and its a weak recovery Because of them.

So when asked... Recession or Recovery? they suddenly go silent... because, IMHO, if they spoke honestly they would rather the country be in a Bush recession than an Obama recovery.
