JB, as an American citizen yourself, can you tell me what Trump is doing wrong with his temporary ban on refugees? He has made it clear that all he is doing is "temporarily" stopping refugees from 7 countries until a proper streamlined vetting process is in place. My question is;

1. Is he making the US unsafe with this move?
Do you really want undocumented people from war torn countries entering the country with no prior knowledge of who they were? Especially knowing very well that all these 7 countries have strong ISIS links?

2. What should Trump do? Allow a free pass to these immigrants?

If you really did care about our country, shouldn't you be happy that at last, someone with balls is actually implementing policies that safeguard our country?

As has been pointed out, 0 incidents from banned countries but didn't ban countries where 9/11 terrorists came from. Defend that one for me.

Poorly planned and carried out.

Makes us more safe? Judge disagrees.

Also temp banned (at the beginning) permanent U.S. residents, green card holders, those with dual nationality, etc.

Banning people from countries helping us out like Iraq.

Do you even know what a refugee is? - a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

If you were in some of those countries, wouldn't you want to get out yourself? Do you think America played a part in some of the destabilization of those countries?

JB, I too am an immigrant. I am a naturalized citizen. And very proud of being a US citizen. But me and the wife spent years filing paperwork and coming here "legally". So, I totally understand that our country is a country of immigrants. Nobody denies that. But, I can see how Europe is reeling under the pressure of accepting these refugees. I wouldn't want that to happen here. We already have enough homeless and poor people here. We have veterans dying because they can't get timely treatment. Our economy is in massive debt. Do, we really want thousands of refugees here to add to our problems? At the same time, doctors, students, engineers, scientists, IT professionals of "any religion", who can help America grow,.. are the immigrants we should welcome. They help create jobs, help our economy, bring talent, and eventually make our country rich in culture and diversity.

And once again, Trump has said this is a "temporary" situation. This isn't a lifetime ban on those countries. So, I really don't see why we are so upset.

Now coming to the main topic...

I bet that Gilsan too has plenty of relatives and family who fled during the 70s and even after. But he doesn't believe in opportunities for all. They have so much oil money, they speak the same language and they pray to the same God, so let them take them in. We don't want them in Europe. The minute they arrived in a country they had to work for a living, unlike the FREELOADERS that are arriving in the US and especially Europe nowadays.
