"Trump is not out to defend history but to obscure it β€” and to crush those who would bring it to light β€” while replacing reality with his fairy tale version in which he somehow ends up the hero."

Trump’s language, with its reference to government agents assigned to protect us against a sinister campaign of destruction and indoctrination, could have been lifted almost verbatim from the government’s anti-dissident playbook of over 100 years ago.

2020 Campaign Has Paid Out $$$$$$$$ to Trump (and friends)

Trump funneling donor money into his children’s households builds on his practice of funneling it into his own pocket, which began in 2016, right after he became the presumptive Republican nominee and began raising large amounts of GOP money.

Interesting that the writer cites parallels to 1918, when the progressive Democrat Woodrow Wilson was president. Yes, he had a totalitarian bent, but it's rare to see it ever mentioned in today's press. She also cites the Red Scare, which was, of course, fear of Russia. Sound familiar?

You don't seem to understand that much of Trump's support came from people who voted for Obama, and might well vote for Bernie Sanders, if given the chance. Trump can say whatever he wants, but these people voted for him because he was the only candidate that wasn't a complete tool of the deep state.

The Dems, rather than wising up, doubled down. Instead of deep state tool Hillary, now they will nominate one who is halfway out of it with advancing dementia. Hillary might have made demands, but Biden will be more obedient. Tell him to start a war, and he'll do it. What does he care? He's in the oval office, and has all the lollies he needs.

The whole country is going on a fascist totalitarian bender. If you care about that, Trump is the least of your worries.

Maybe you should say what history Trump is trying obscure. I think the headline doesn't match your hysterics.

Holy campaign cash cow!

Headlines are purposely misleading. Please tell us how he gave his children this money.
Why haven't charges been brought? Did they ( Trump's children ) earn the money by working on Trump's campaign?

Do you think it's scandals for the other people working for Trump to be paid?

Democrats indirectly responsible for the death of this child and her parents pain.

How? Democrats:

Fund BLM
Help organize for BLM
Allow and even coordinate these protest / riots.

If Biden is President, I think the chaos / anarchy will get worse because he's is weak and the marxist know it.

In Japan, if you're arrested they have a 99%+ conviction rate.
According to your wikipedia sources, "Japan's understaffed prosecutors working on low budgets only bring the most obviously guilty defendants to trial, and do not file indictments in cases in which they are not certain they can win. [Ramseyer & Rasmusen, Why Is the Japanese Conviction Rate So High?]",
and
"Reflecting the belief that appropriate remedies are sometimes best found outside the formal criminal justice mechanisms, in 1990 over 70 percent of criminal cases were not sent to the prosecutor."
...
I didn't check more recent stats, I assume they still don't prosecute every arrested case.

In words of Yale scholar D.W. Blight, " If a President makes history, which he can and does on any given day, he should know some history. He must be able to think in time, to think by analogy, precedent, and comparison. He needs perspective in order to find wisdom. Decisions ought never be made in a vacuum."

A little honest values education would go a long way to helping the US out of this mess - on both ends of the spectrum.

In case you didn't bother to read the cited articles:

The Trump campaign and the RNC have, since he took office, raised a combined $889,000,000 and spent $746,000,000. Despite this, Trump remains as unpopular as he ever was.

Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., are both receiving $15,000 a month of campaign money that is routed through Parscale’s companies. Parscale defended the practice to HuffPost last month ― β€œI can pay them however I want to pay them” ― but he declined to elaborate.

β€œI think the general public would be interested to know what members of Trump’s extended family are being paid by campaign donors,” said Paul Ryan, a campaign finance legal expert at the watchdog group Common Cause.

How many others are paid in a similarly secret manner is not publicly knowable.

Do you support this destruction / vandalism of our history and culture?

Are you supporting this type of authoritarianism? Racist segregation?
https://freebeacon.com/campus/students-demand-pitt-eliminate-free-speech-protections/

( black ) Activists are demanding that the University of Pittsburgh fire any employee deemed racist or discriminatory by students, a move that First Amendment advocates say amounts to the elimination of academic freedom.

Black Pitt, which did not return a request for comment, went further than merely targeting speech on campus. The list of demands includes a black-only graduation,

This is what identity politics leads too.

Three more people murdered an hour after this press conference. That is what it took for the Mayor to send police back to the area taken over by BLM marxist.

Republican silence, democrats complicity.

"President Trump mounted an explicit defense of Confederate flags on Monday, suggesting that NASCAR had made a mistake in banning them, while falsely accusing a top Black driver, Bubba Wallace, of perpetrating a hoax involving a noose found in his garage"

"They name teams out of STRENGTH, not weakness, but now the Washington Redskins & Cleveland Indians, two fabled sports franchises, look like they are going to be changing their names in order to be politically correct. Indians, like Elizabeth Warren, must be very angry right now!"

Trump in full racist campaign mode. Protecting Confederate statues, racist names, doesn't want to rename bases etc.

Of course, you repeat half truths, whole iles.

Why are these democrats carrying Trump around on their shoulders?

This is probably more up your alley, direct from the Whitehouse: Trump Administrative Accomplishments

eg. We have begun BUILDING THE WALL. Republicans want STRONG BORDERS and NO CRIME. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS which equals MASSIVE CRIME.

No bias here, lol

Those are facts. Maybe you should spend some time learning American politics before you comment.
