Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Boy, the euphoria sure has died down in this thread. No surprise there. It happens with every new extension when the reality sets in.
Reality always takes over :p

It may be down in this thread but reality is also outside this thread with domainers investing thousands and thousands on dot tel domains because they know that naysayers will miss the train and continue to bash dot tel believer.

What is the best way to search for dot tel's on Sedo?

"Being a very new member of the .tel club and owning a few .tels(30), I’ve searched the internet, news media thread for a main theme to monetize the .tel.

Some members have chosen to develop a site, some have a bias toward selling, others I’m not sure what they’re planning.

What is happening with .tel? Are the minions clamoring for their .tel? GA being twenty days on, I haven’t seen much activity anywhere.

No real news from media such as CNBC, what about slashdot Cnet or similar, nothing only this lonely little outpost.

So, did I invest unwisely…, perhaps it’s to soon to .tel. The answer may becoming from .tel owners, not waiting for Telnic to publish positive reports or advertise in a meaningful way. While searching facebook, myspace etc for any information I came upon the following

Someone has produced videos on youtube besides telnic. they are outrageous.

Although a tawdry and base use of .tel it seems this is one way to monetize.
Would I choose this method? no, but it seems quite remarkable compared to the efforts put forth by Telnic.

So, I ask again, what is going on with .tel? Where is Bradpitt.tel, Angelina.tel, Johnmayer.tel. There seems to be no celebrity.tel interest and without where are we?

Perhaps we members are waiting for nothing to happen and it’s happening.

The last chat with DM they stated they’re selling .tel domains at a record pace, all well and good until those domains come up for renewal. We need traction at a much larger level, who will provide it, someone less intoxicated than I but someone must…"

Due to we are just waiting for 60 days pass before start a fully trading of dot TEL. For me I just very happy to see any keywords in content bring my site up on the first page of Google.

IMO, tel is ideal for SEO and it is.
What keywords did you get on the first page (default 10 results per page)?

All I've seen in this thread so far are garbage keywords ranking high.

Brad

Hence, the reason when everyone starts begging for a dedicated subforum the reply is, "Wait and see..." ;)

leave keyword blank but select category. then you can browse each category one by one. then you can sort the columns how you want, (i.e. by traffic, by alphabet, etc)

cheers

But those terms aren't searched on a monthly basis :|

Do you plan on optimizing them for more popular terms?

The commercial finally went viral today.

Plaggy I would like to believe it but it looks like a Youtube blaster software with autohits hit this. I watched the views jump in an hour.

If it is really viral where did these hits come from ?

From an uknown YouTube poster with very little channel views it looks suspicious.

I would be happy if the hits were real- looks fishy though

Such a jump in views (all of a sudden) seems kinda "fishy." Most of the replies/comments are more about the woman than .tel itself.

I'd be surprised if people could game YouTube views that easily - surely they must detect suspicious patterns and views from botnets?

I noticed the link being posted around on Twitter.
