Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Sunrise or not, showcase your best .tels.
I'm anxious to see how people did!

With a username like that, and the fact that you started the thread, it is time for your big reveal. Quit hiding and prepare to take your lumps like the rest of the posters! ;)

just kidding...... but i think the $10 regs were a way better deal than the $300 regs... you kids regging tons of those $300 in the current economy are insane and i slap thee.... or i would like to request the specific substance you are smoking so i may inhale as well.

either way.

I really disagree with this domaining method. I prefere to have ONE premium domain I buy 300$ to 30 regular domains I buy 10$ each. The premium domains are the ones you have the best chance to make a huge profit with when selling.

But if you are able to register a 10$ domain which is as good as what people registered for 300$, then you have a better deal, of course. And I agree some people registered a lot of really bad .tel during the landrush!

Guys, check out the .TEL Advertisement... Its definitely worth a watch...

http://telnic.org/index.html (.tel for individuals)

All first names I have checked seemed to have all been regged. Looking on the whois there are a lot registered to the same person. Kind of defeats the advert.

Dynadot will let you create a telnic account to do updates and add data to your .TEL domains. I did it for mine.

You go into your Account Manager, Click on the highlighted .TEL domain you want to modify data, then scroll down the page to the "Telhost Account" section. Pick you telhost account name and password (1 per account) then click on the link it gives you to login to telhost. You can manage all your Dynadot regisitered .TEL domain from that telhost account with that link and username/password.

Moniker has a similar telhost link on the bottom of their domain list with details about how to login.

This .tel TLD is a great concept. You know what would do even better? One designed specifically for mobile phones/users! I need to get on it and work on an ICANN proposal. Can't Miss!!!

:) PS. In all seriousness, still a gamble but I do love the Geo names the best for this tld. Good luck

This to me is the only realistic application for them. I would have got my first name but thats it. I own the .com for my full name anyway.

But, what i want to know is, we're 2 days in and 'HighlyBrandable.tel' is still available to reg
B-) Go on, you know you want to

i must say i like the layout for a simple one hit page though for the .tel, nice layout. if i could have got my first name i would have succumb but don't see point in buying my last name with my first name as subdomain when own on the com, would be too long and pointless

i will say if i saw a nice short one, i may succumb for one, purely for the pulling birds angle  . nice video

We should take up donations to buy HighlyBrandable.tel or JustMyTwoSense.tel for Jeff. I'll put in 50NP$
:guilty:  :| :snaphappy:
