Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Hopefully my dot tel "central', which is showing "problem" on dynadot is fixed by morning. I called them and they said the engineer would look into it tonight and fix it. The whois just shows dynadot general.

Really want this one!

has anyone regged .tel at name.com? i just tried and theres a requirement at bottom,

The registry for TEL domain names require that they be hosted in a shared hosting environment known as the Community TelHosting (CTH) platform. You can edit or complete the information needed to create your account here.

but when i try to fill it out and submit nothing happens. seems like its broke. also i havnt had to fill this out at any other registrar in order to reg

EDIT: resolved

Guys, my colleague Ben.tel will be very pleased with your assessment. But please, notice the 'share' button on the bottom right hand side. This ad is for you, your sites, your networks etc for you to use. Please - feel free. Why do we need the television whe you're saying the internet is the way forward?

If at all possible, try to use the tools we've provided. We negotiated the music rights with this in mind and tried to use the Akamai hosting to optimize it for you as well. So if you could use it that way, you won't be sued, we won't be sued, you'll get optimized content, etc.

Thanks,

By the way I would like you all to know that the advert was directed by a female director. And there is an alternative ending that she came up with that if we get to a certain subscription level whilst racy and cheeky, we may show. So share away.

Thanks - I have to fall down now.

congrats on a great day! I just spent some time on telnic.com...the business section is very well done.

If today is any indication .tel should have a great future.

cheers

I'm not a fan of .tel but I am a domain investor so tonight I thought I would register a handful of .tel domains just incase. I'm sure I could sell them for more than the $15 I paid for them while they are hyped up. Its so cheap the risk is basically zero. None of these are from landrush or preordered. I just regged these within the last few hours, surprised they were still available since I dont think they are that bad at all and better than a lot of stuff I see other people regging who are saying there is nothing left.

SinCity(.)tel
Laughlin(.)tel (3rd biggest gambling destination in nevada)
Roadside(.)tel
vCards(.)tel
Newsletters(.)tel
MobileBanking(.)tel
HiltonHeadIsland(.)tel

Cheers Justin, Im trying to take a neutral view here, but it's one of the best ads Ive seen in a while, well done! Have already shared the video with a couple folks already who love it big time and bought some names because of it.

I've checked the geos.

Majority are gone.
All the country names are gone.

US cities above 100,000 in population that remain are:

ELKGROVE.TEL
CARROLLTON.TEL

That ad on myspace would be awesome and almost guarantee .tel going viral.

I've listed a bunch of Southern California .TEL still available on my blog.

How long does it take for these to resolve into the familiar .TEL landing page? I've got one at Moniker and at Name.com earlier today, edited them, but they still don't resolve... :-/

cleaners*tel
movers*tel
plumbers*tel
builders*tel

I'm building a phonebook*tel ;)

Once you enter in some contact info. the domains become activated. They should start resolving to their "familiar landing pages" within a few hours. %%-

Hi Justin,

I actually viewed it from the name.com website as they have it embedded on a page there, so i didnt notice a share button, but i now see it on the telnic site. thanks!

(p.s. - the old boob tube is still a good channel for marketing to the general public imo - i just think the commercial is so good, like you could squeeze it into a super bowl spot and it would be totally legit! tell the director :hearts: )
