Sure,
Ex: " Need a Plumber ? Just call Plumber.tel "
The best way to monetize a domain is to provide a real, usefull service.
.tel could facilitate the acces and ease to remember to that services.

I already know several peoples that were happy to spend 300$ to get a unique, easy to remember contact point.
Those people are not willing to monetize it.
Those people do not have any other domain, just a unique .tel
Those people are not IT geek, just simple people that understood the SERVICE provided by .tel
If my name if Tom, I will prefer
[email protected] to
[email protected].
Not because i will monetize it, but because it just sound better to me.
.tel is like the "One Ring to rule them all", many contact, 1 single point of contact.
And Tom.tel will be more valuable that Tom4523.tel to me.
So yes, i will agree to pay 300$ to get a great online identity name.
To me, the most valuable generic keyword for .tel are firstname and last name.
