Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

So how long after DomainMonster sends in the applications for landrushs do we find out if they secured the domain we preordered?

I saw somewhere that Landrush officially starts at 3:00 pm EST (or is that GMT?)

I hope it's not like .me when GD's servers crashed.

Well aint that a hoot!

That explains yesterday... I was looking on DM and saw that there was just over 1 day left until Landrush... Then when I looked this morning, it still showed more than a day to go... which didn't really jive, but I figured I must have misread it earlier.... Hmmmm.

OMG! I hope DM isn't basing their reg time on the same count down timer on their website!!! They (and I) will be screwed!

>:(

BTW. My apologies Brendan and CDM

I 100% doubt they're going by that counter, as they are definitely highly aware of when landrush commences, and they even have the correct time published on their website in several places. So no need to worry. :)

And it's not a problem saucey. B-)

In about 6 hours from now, because it is GMT, not GST - it will be in the afternoon in London, where Telnic is based. Well, let's hope their server is very strong anyway!

no, the time is based on your system clock, or the time where you are now. Its 15:00 GMT no matter where you are.

Finally Landrush begins!!!

Any domain name that is not registered during sunrise (sunrise period was 3/12/08 - 2/02/09) will be eligible for landrush registration at a premium price. The selection method is first-come, first-served. so you do not need to have a registered trademark to register a .tel domain name during the landrush period and there is no validation involved!!!

Anybody knows what is cheapest price? Registrar with PayPal option.

A matter of curiosity: some (good) names were submitted during the Sunrise periods, but evaluation has not yet been completed at this point. I assume such names will remain on hold during landrush, as long as the evaluation process is not completed, and applications accepted or rejected.

If such Sunrise applications are finally rejected, will the names thus kept on hold be released at one specific time, or just as soon as the applications is rejected? thus making it a real matter of luck for those who would just happen to make an attempt to register those names at the very time they are made available...
