STRONG!

Just closed on one of my lesser quality CVCV.com's for $15K. And this isn't the only one I've closed this year for a similar amount.

I was looking back at some of the LLL.com posts from just a couple of years ago and it's really amazing to think how "cheap" they were in comparison to today's prices. The funny thing is that LLL.coms are probably well undervalued by today's prices, and I'll be surprised if even something like xyq.com wasn't going for a minimum of $20K in a few years.

I see the incredible value of LLL.coms -- their sheer limited supply warrant these prices. However, I'd argue the following three compelling points about CVCV.coms:

(1) There exist less CVCV.coms than do LLL.coms. It's a matter of simple mathematics:

CVCV (not counting "y") = 21 x 5 x 21 x 5 = 11,025
LLL = 26 x 26 x 26 = 17,576

(2) The chances of finding an end user that utilizes the three exact letters you own is very limited. However, with a CVCV, which is clearly the easiest to pronounce of the LLLL.coms, while there may be a lesser likelihood that it will be used as an acronym for a company name, there are much greater chances that a company or product will utilize the name. Afterall, if I'm thinking of a name for a company or product, I'll more than likely opt for something like Gata than for Tyq.

(3) There really are not that many premium CVCV.coms for sale on the market (so much so that I don't even bother to post a "CVCV Wanted" thread on the forums). The forums all have lesser quality CVCV.coms for sale (i.e. taqe), and even those are few and rare. There seems to be a lot more LLL.coms readily available, and some of the same ones reappear over and over as they get sold from one buyer to the next. This phenomenon may very well simply be attributed to the fact that I don't think CVCV.coms have gone mainstream yet. Nonetheless, I'm sure their time will come and the forums will become flooded with quality CVCV.coms as is now the case with LLL.coms.

Anyhow, just like I'm sure it happens with LLL.coms, there are several CVCV.com transactions that occur every day for significant amounts of money. I'll go out on a limb and predict that CVCV.coms will be selling for minimum $7,500 at the wholesale level in the very near future.

Just putting my thoughts down so I can come back several months from now and see either what a genius or what a dunce I was (though I've never been a victim of the latter). :)

I have always thought over the years that being able to pronounce a name gave it much increased value. You have more options for end users with CVCV's, VCVC's, VCCV's and CVVC's. Short and pronounceable, that's what I picked up every time I saw one laying on the side of the road.

Congrats on your success, you earned it.

Nice sale! Mind sharing what name it was if you don't mind? Was it a reseller or enduser?

I'm hoping for the same, i have invested ~70% of my funds in CVCV.com's in the last year. All premium LLLL.com's are closing to sell for 1k$ each, and we still see some premium CVCV.com's going for 2k-3k. The biggest steal i saw was on Sedo, Depe.com going for 2k$.

Congras to michaelg314 ~~

And you have a very strong CVCV portfolio :)

I don't have that much funds to invest CVCV.coms, so I invested some nice CVCV.Mobis. Currently there has no market for CVCV.Mobi yet, but who knows what would happen in 5 years?

Thanks. I wish I could share the name, but I'm unable to for obvious reasons. If I had to guess, the buyer was likely an enduser. However, I'm not really sure because the deal was brokered by Moniker and I never learned who the buyer was.

Well done on the sale :)

That's an amazing CVCV.com portfolio! 18 of them... at $10k each... = $$$$$ ;)

Yep

I ageee cvcv are good/very good but they are not the only pronounceables. I have had many offers for opwo.com and epwe.com which are vccv and still highly pronounceable!so there are plenty of 4 character pronounceables around. I agree as a long term bet though the market is great for most pronounceable 4 character .coms!

Thanks Tristanperry. I have close to 100 more CVCVs and I get emails daily regarding my names. I think it's a matter of time before CVCV.coms go really mainstream.

Quality, I agree with you too in that there are several other good 4 letter pronounceables, but still think the CVCV combination is the most premium.
