Okay, here's my prediction and I believe I pegged it. Tonight I heard subtle mentions about John McCain when he was 17, and now the boyfriend of Palin's daughter is flying in to sit with her for the convention. Am I the only one who sees this coming?

How much do you want to bet that McCain’s speech moves in the direction of how when he was 17 he was a responsible young Republican, and he hasn't changed? I Bet when McCain recalls a time when he was 17, the cameras will all suddenly go to Palin's daughter and her Beau (if he really has the guts to show up); and then this will all get weaved together into how Palin’s soon to be son in law, is a sensible young man for taking responsibility and being man enough (republican) to step up to this very adult challenge.

Palin’s young pregnant daughter is supposed to be off limits, but I believe it’s going to be the camouflaged focal point of the show. Maybe her mom will “share” the similarities between McCain and her soon to be son in law.

All I know is the set up is there, and all the seeds were planted tonight. Anyone else see it coming? Looks like they're getting ready to serve lemonade.

Proll'y pretty close ... whatever McCain can do to keep the right-wing EVANGELICALS happy -and- to continue to discuss things OTHER THAN the economy (and intellectual vision/wisdom for the future) ... and mission accomplished! :| :music: :imho:
All Republicans now have their scripts and marching orders!

Just my humble two sense after watching the line-up of McCain surrogates live on CNN of late ... what's your opinion?
They are not answering the actual questions posed to them, IMHO.

Thanks,

I feel this election is becoming a game, and could effect our lives greatly in a very negative ways. I hope i am wrong.

It's the same old Republican game ... offer very little substance, attack the media, and deploy the public surrogates en masse to hopefully alter and affect perceptions and create sympathies - all this even further magnified - and wildly distorted - this season using the gender card with Palin, IMHO. :|
I don't feel safe - or feel that actual problems will be resolved - with the cranky and highly devisive McCain/Palin ticket, humbly! :guilty:

Just my two sense.

So, again, why the republican game? Are you kidding me? Liberals have gazillions of dollars with which to distort facts and create smoke screens. What's next, will they create a feature length movie blaming McCain for being captured in Vietnam? When is that Oliver Stone movie coming out again? Oh, that's right OCTOBER 28th, 2008, how convenient, a couple of days before the Presidential Election. Wow, what are the odds of that coincidence?

As long as liberals continue to rely on multi gazillionaires to produce fictional trash and promote them as unheralded truths, you will have no right to take your holier than thou stance, Jeff.

buzzzzz! Failed! Try harder!

No need to be so cranky, IMHO ... specifically, which facts have been distorted / smoke screens, and by whom? IYHO.

Thanks for any insight.

Thought this was interesting about Sarah Palin from someone who has known her since 1992... I'm not sure what to make of it. She had a very good speech last night.

^ Righto, the true FACTS are emerging ... this is what I've been saying all along about the same old Republican's concerted efforts to affect perceptions and to then elicit sympathies - while offering very little substance and actual solutions, etc. IMHO. :red: :snaphappy:

THE FACTS: A Back-to-the-Future moment. George W. Bush, a conservative Republican, has been president for nearly eight years. And until last year, Republicans controlled Congress. Only since January 2007 have Democrats have been in charge of the House and Senate.

McCain/Palin will - bottom line - be FOUR MORE YEARS of the same exact same fumblings and failures we've endured for the last eight years! Neither - further evidenced by Palin's immaturites and hostilities last night - will react openly or favorably to any meaningful types of real change, in my observation!
PS. She was one of the main creators of the wasteful "bridge to nowhere"! FACT.

Now, why would I have to answer any of your questions? I mean, really, you make stereotypical carte blanche statements about all republicans without one iota of fact to back your statements up with. So, prove it, Jeff, show us all how every single republican has their marching orders. You've talked to them all, I suppose...?

Or....perhaps.....you're just regurgitating what you've been told to regurgitate?

Huh?
One by one, each of the speakers last night - marching orders IMHO - attacked the media ... did you watch these speakers?

You mentioned "distortions" and "smoke screens" above ... please provide specifics? :gl:

Thanks again, friend.

Righto, that's my opinion ... as I said above, after watching the Republican surrogates of late, and then again the speakers of last evening! :gl: :imho:

Are these supposed "smoke screens" and "distortions" that you mention also your opinions ... and where did you observe them?
IYHO.
