I'm not sure if you all know, (well some of you do) those of you whom have surpassed the stage of just being a domainer and developed, monetized and done real business online through whatever space, niche, or platform you are working on.

Do you know what it takes to develop a domain and make it a success? It takes years of failure, it takes learning front and backend web development (in my case), it takes trying 100s of new ideas and failing for over a decade before finally making it work.

What do you all do? You buy cheap, hoard and sell astronomically high. You are despised amongst just about every marketing circle, development community and well, the entire internet in general. I mean really, people hate domainers. I'm not sure some of you know this so let it be known - you are not loved on this internet.

And due to your greed, and the greed of registrars, you have contributed to the dilution of the domain game by causing registrars to come out with 100000000 new tld's so the average Joe can stand a chance at having a unique web property and not have to pay a company like hugedomains 20k for handjob123.com

That's all, I think most of you have lost your minds, I think that most of you are greedy and that a large majority of you could NEVER cut it with marketing, development or design hence why you rely on such basic tactics of monetization to survive.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Well, it happens.

There is a domain I have been trying acquire for over 20+ years now.

The domain is not in use, and I would be shocked if it went for more than a few hundred at auction.
I have offered five figures for it, but never even got a proper counter back. Just a no thanks.

I wish this was own by a domainer.

Domain investors do serve a role when it comes to domains finding end users.

Much of the "greed" is more to do with lack of education IMO. A lot of domain investors have limited experience when it comes to dealing with actual end users.

Brad
Well said, and I can relate as esva.com is not desirable to me other than nostalgia and wanting to make a little something for the folks back home. It's insane to me that this guy turns down 12k because its "pronounceable", that is greed. Greed annoys me, I live in Baltimore City, I see first hand what greed does to a society. Anyways, you're a nice person, I appreciate you.

I started this thread to ruffle some feathers, it worked, in the form of true karma, my feathers were then ruffled back. I'm done replying to this thread. You all stay blessed.

@moale - Life is short. Stop wasting your time with us losers and go enjoy your private parties and boatloads of money. Be proud that your priorities are all in order, and that you always take the high road.

Learn how to treat people. There are real individuals behind these posts. Most don't deserve your insults.
You are correct, in a temporary state of anger I have attacked an entire community, however, it is the majority that conducts their business in such a way.

I extend apologies to anyone that I have offended, we are all in different stages of our journey.

They are far too lazy to develop their domain names . I mean that kinda tongue-in-cheek. It's up to the individual domainer how they monetise their domains. Why are you so bothered anyway dude? It's just a domain name, and there's an endless supply of em.

OP you make some awesome points.
You picked a hella tough crowd.
God help you on this one. Glad to see you're not banned and still going.
Nobody ever wants to acknowledge that their biz model is sandbagging at scale.
Namepros has better free speech than most of the internet these days.

Since you care so much. Plz make some proactive suggestions for us dumb people where we can make some low effort less sand baggy $.

Hi

i believe you, but some think it's easy,
just like they think buying and selling domain names is easy.

perhaps you, can show some of the websites you've built?

also, read thru the Parking and Monetization section.

imo...
I will be the first to admit domaining is by no means easy, but if you have a large amount of cash to invest and have the willpower/patience/financial security to hold on to them, you pretty much can make it in domaining. Domaining is mostly about time, about patience and about knowing what trends to follow etc. It's not easy, but it's nothing compared to actually launching and developing a successful product/website.

community lacks empathy? Ever see how cheap most domainers give away their prized assets? There are some deals that should be considered charity.

This community also has payment plans that are easy, let's people minimize risk.

If all industries would be as nice and kind as domaining, there would be peace in the world.

There are exceptions, but most people here are nice and helpful and very generous.
lol nice and kind, pfff domainers are right there on the level of pawn brokers.

I don't believe you earned $100000 in one month. You wouldn't be ranting and raving on a forum if that was the case.

I'm sure you did your research before reaching this conclusion.
Didn't do any research, just drank beer and burped. You are all so successful and smart. It makes me miss @Daniel Owens so much more. The love of my life. The greatest A+++++ domainer ever. Highly recommend.
Why speak about technical things here? What is the point we are discussing greed, human nature and domaining.

What do you want to hear? How I can code an entire project from front to backend from a blank txt file or how I can automate any human behavior in the world with selenium, requests etc.? How I can reverse any app in the world with Charles via man in the middle attacks? I mean what do you want to talk about? I did not claim to be king nerd. Fall back.

I can write a script in python to carry on the rest of my conversation in this thread. Can you?
If you're so smart why aren't you chilling on your yacht with ladies either side, instead of getting irate on a forum about human nature, which as we all know is probably the most destructive force in the history of time? That's my point.

Very sorry to hear this. That's enough to send anyone in a tailspin.
Thank you 🙏 I clocked out mentally. But the beauty of having spent a lifetime of this, is that whenever I chose, I can snap back to earnings thousands of dollars per day. I'm going to unfollow thread, you all take care.

This is basically the b1tching thread where everybody gets everything off their chest that's bugging them. Ok, here's my bug bear. Wasps. (Did you see what I did there? Bug bear/wasps haha :ROFL:or:unsure:?). Bees, I get that. Wasps, hell no.

Who hurt you?
Have 8 hours straight to not speak and listen?

Domain was esva.com (eastern shore of virginia) aka one of the most economically depressed and non prosperous parts of the US.

Everyone who is mad at me in this thread should stop and think, "why am I mad?"

The points I raise are irrefutable facts. You are mad because you want to be able to develop, code, design and monetize. Jealousy is a weak emotion.

I am glad that I almost never experience it life.

That's cool.

I am sending you well wishes in getting over the strong case of butthurt in relation to underselling lll.com.

Brad
My grudge today is towards someone who has 1000s of LLLL.coms and is hoarding a local acronym because its "pronounceable" and "brandable" (meanwhile 99% of these domainer idiots could never build a successful brand in your lives, yet they are to judge what is brandable) and demanding 50k for it.

Straight up nonsense, and yes learning the state of lll.com is both sad and cool, as I said, I'm a domainer too, first and foremost in my long journey down this series of tubes. I did not perceive them as well wishes, I will stand down. Have a good one.

The websites I've built out cost over 500k in mids alone to process the card payments. I'm not here to share my niches, I had to make the very hard leap from domainer to actual developer over 20 years ago. Good luck.

Hey it's much easier now, you have everything at your fingertips, you don't even have to know how to code anymore.

IDC I'm a domainer too - but I'm much more, I'm well established and a staple in the top tier of my industry, I took my love for domaining and turned into a knowledge of software engineering, marketing, front/backend development. I can reg a crapper domain and turn it into a six figure earning landing page, can you?

:P

Humans, often as a whole, cannot accept the truth and lie to themselves. People are angry because I'm making them think and come to some self realizations.

I guess a better question is, am I (or other domain investors) supposed to care?

Brad
Idk, idc either. You "invest" I have the brain to build, I earn while I sleep, you depend on ancient sales tactics, social engineering, manipulation and other salesman nonsense to survive.
