That's very Sad But True indeed.
Flippa lost their Genuine Buyer and Seller. We can see a Rapid Fall of flippa from ending months of 2015.
We can also see Flippa getting Lowest price on Liquid Domains like LLLL .com Chips than other marketplaces.
Flippa going worst in sales.
2014 I remember Weekly sales are over 1Million each week which is Hardly 200-300k Currently.
I personally listed many domains on flippa as I was a genuine Seller and enjoyed selling quick at great price, but its hardly possible currently :/
Losing Traffic may be because of Flippa's new Design which I personally didn't like.
Domains with their Title Featured on Homepage was the Uniqueness of Flippa making it more n more User Friendly !

Some Errors with Flippa Domains :-
1) Toooo many Garbage Domains listed ! Its just because NO Premium listing !! All listing it will normal upgrade of $9 or $49.
2) Domains with Opening BID of No Reserve are Already RESERVE MET !!!
I love to see n buy mainly from reserve met domains but this is too much there are TON's of Garbage names with NO BIDS already meeting their Reserve.
Hardly any Quality names !
3) As I mentioned before Web Design. It looks similar to Sedo and Namejet.
Flippa was much much Unique before !

Flippa is best for its Support. You'll get Quick Response from them anyday !!
Flippa should n must work more on Promotions, Advertising, SEO to back it's Original Charm Back !
Lastly Flippa Should bring back Premium listing For Domains For Quality Domains.

@FlippaDomains Hope u find it useful for further improvements

Thanks

I second @aditya11117

We really wanna see Flippa rise back like Phoenix!!

Cheers!

I do like the idea of reserve met domains without bids. It will be even better if the reserve met filter display auctions where the next bid will meet reserve as well.

In the previous system, it is almost impossible to find domains with no reserve and no bids, and some good domains were unnoticed and unsold with zero bids, how will this help buyers and sellers? GoDaddy auctions have much more auction listings with no reserve and garbage names, yet they are doing fine.

I think what Flippa could implement in the advanced reserve met filter is to have following checkboxes to further refine the searches to meet everyone's needs:
  • With bids
  • Without bids
  • Next bid meet reserve
  • Maximum Price
However, I feel Flippa is moving in the direction of minimalistic design and ease of use; Apple style.

WHY do you say that GD has a 30% discount on renewals? Is there a code?
code automatically applies when you click link. Will work for renewal discount if you haven't used the discount before.

The latest Flippa change broke the filter for Last Sold domains.
https://flippa.com/domains/just-sold?sort_alias=most_recent

I would check that daily and now it rarely updates. Same domains have been there for over a week. I have sold 3 names recently that never even showed up, so I'm sure many more are not being displayed.

From what I can tell Flippa only makes 1 or 2 sales a day. If that's not the case, then their system is indeed a total disaster.

I know that filter is borked because I sold 3 in past week and they never showed up. It used to show many domains per day up until a few weeks ago when the search pages changed.

On the domains side, our weekly haul has never been that high. You may be referring to the entire marketplace, which includes websites and apps?

Agreed, am working on that.

The latest Flippa change broke the filter for Last Sold domains.

Agreed, it's now ordered by when it was listed (not date of sale) which makes no sense. I am trying to fix it.

From what I can tell Flippa only makes 1 or 2 sales a day. If that's not the case, then their system is indeed a total disaster.

I have delayed my sales reports because of this. We sell hundreds of domains each month, and...

I have doubts that over 50% of their sales and bids are not legit

...appreciate your doubts, but if you check Flippa.com/blog - every sales report is personally verified by myself, with [*] denoting that it's pending sale or not yet confirmed. I have many months to manually update, including all of December and January. If you have any actual proof that the sales are fake, please do bring it to my attention.

///

Thanks for everyone's continued feedback -- we're setting up another wave of changes soon, and I'm relaying all feedback to the tech side of our business to consider.

As for concerns / bad thoughts / continued criticism, I am hearing you. We have a lot of work to do, but I hope some will agree that mitigating free credits and removing the upgrade packages (and de-emphasizing paid placement of domains) is a positive step forward.

There's a lot else in progress that I want to talk about, but can't at this time. I do promise that so long as you're hearing from me, just know that we listen and are taking your feedback seriously; there is lots to change and more to fix, so I for one appreciate your understanding that it's an ongoing process.

Great to know you are hearing and taking our feedback seriously. But How long it would take to fix the problem with some great improvements ?

I have used Flippa for a while now to sell domains and to be honest I really like it. In fact, I would say it the could be the best platform ""IF"" they fix their customer support. Emailing support back and forth is terrible and when I cannot verify domains, I usually have to email them the list 3-4 times over the span of a couple weeks before anything gets done.

On the main page it says this:
8,391 Bids This Week, 1,642,778 Open Listings, $165,950,419 Overall Sales, $444,719 Sales This Week,

$165 million in sales is impressive and Flippa ges 10% of that as a commission fee. You would think with that kind of revenue, the company could open up a toll free number with a staff of 3-4 people that can service the clients. If Flippa did that, then it can become the best domain/app/website reseller site out there. Without it, less users will come to the site and it's a shame because I love the layout and will continue to be a customer, albeit frustrated waiting to get something done.

While it's a positive sign that someone from Fillipa takes the time to come here and respond, unfortunately it's same complaints and the same promises that they were making at their booth at the first NamesCon in Jan 2014.

Back then I was easily able to spot fraud in their website auctions, and I was still able to do it last week. 2 years is plenty of time to get that fixed, but chose not to.

I say everyone just boycott ,them for them to take a $9 sign up fee and then a 10% cut of your take of a llll.com that sells for 15% below where its trading everywhere else is ludicrous. For example I sold a llll.com chip last month for 1900 to a chinese fellow who contacted me via junk mail. He agreed with me that we use escrow. I netted 1868 and he paid 1932,THE NEXT DAY. Escrow is so good. Now on the other hand I go to flopper and put a nice secret reserve and start the domain at a dollar. And hardly anyone bids. So god forbid some poor sucker forgets to put the reserve in and the auction ends ,they just sold a chip for 1100 ,and flopper will gladly take 10 percent off the top so your walking away with about half if you would have sold t yourself. This happens all the time ,maybe not on a scale like this but on smaller levels Too. Thats why I laughed when people here{at out forum} were complaining that we can not let the buyer contribute to fees.
Listen escrow lets you put multiple domains on one ticket so if you sold 6 llll.com at 350 ,its the same as selling them at 347.50 if you were spliting escrow and chances are the bidders would bid a drop more to make up the difference. So we have to boycott these vulture auction sites for liquid domains. if there gonna take 10 to 20 percent commissions ,let it be for domains like '' AuntSallySpitOnUncleJakeAndHeLovedit.com
Those are the domains that we need help selling not llll.coms like FPSX.com Good Luck Ben

Emailing support back and forth is terrible and when I cannot verify domains,

This is one of our top product priorities for 2016: improving the bulk-upload and portfolio process.

spot fraud in their website auctions

I don't speak on behalf of my friends on the other side of the product, but I know that it's gotten a lot better. That's their main priority, however. We (on the domains side) have an interesting reverse-problem (with dodgy buyers) that we'll also be addressing.

same promises that they were making at their booth at the first NamesCon in Jan 2014.

I hear you. If I could explain more about what's been going on and what will be, you would nod and understand. Just trust me that I will speak more of this when able.

Flippa: Take my advice, let every listing include a free stock photo and turn things around in a matter of weeks.

It seems quite obvious, logos help get domains sold.

Yes maybe logos that they can use not Stock photos ,that makes no sense to me but if you use a system like namerific that lets you reward a designer with a set bonus or percentage this may help domains
For example check out this domain which is one of my own dependablenannies .com look what one of namerific artists have created with that ,if I sell the domain {and this woud help sell it} I think I awarded the artist 600-800- on this one I forget.
